Live or Piped Music in Chruch Services?

I have been to various church services, all Catholic Masses, in my life. Back in high school, I had my first two outdoor Masses (was in a youth retreat) and all had piped music. They was fun, casual, and free, pretty appropriate for teens. But my third one while vacationing in New York blew them out of the water: it was accompanied by guitars (not to mention that the hymns and introits were mostly Tagalog, a Filipino language). I loved that better than the ones in the retreat because the presence and sound of strummed guitars milked my emotions. That raised this question: do you prefer live music in church or do you prefer singing to taped track during prayer service or Sunday Mass? I for one love the feel of live music, as it makes me feel that I'm as close to God as I can get. The services with a pipe organ up the ante! So what do you prefer in church music: live musicians (praise bands, organists, pianists, guitarists, etc.) or the tape?

For me good to it but it's more good if you worship the only true God Jehovah.

I have visited many churches and been a member of a few and we have always had live music. Most of the churches have been baptist, but I have been to methodist, lutherin and disciples of Christ churches. They have all had live music. However right now and for the past 2 and a half years I have been a member of an un-denominational christian church and we have live music there. The lead singer of the worship was voted as the best female gospel singer.Another lead singer is the keyboard player, there is a drummer and a few electric guitar players. And about 10 back up singer's.Several times a year some of the youth(teenage) singers join them during service. When we have special events or guest,so far I have seen a saxaphone player, world renowned harpist and christian rapper. And later this month we will be hosting a Christian African Children's Group that was on America's Got Talent 3 years ago.The children are dancers I believe with recorded music....we'll see. At a baptist church that I was a member of priar, for 6 years had a normal church choir and at times some members that were bluegrass and gospel singers would sing. One a month they would have a small concert where either of them and another country or bluegrass gospel group would perform also.
