Hiya myLotters and friends! Online and Offline, we used to sign our documents to let the people know, the receipient of these documents that the said documents actually comes from us. We all have unique signatures, right? As I was signing those documents that I regularly signs in line of my duty, I came to count those documents and wonder, "How many signatures I have made so far?" In the average, how many signatures do you regularly made daily? Today I made at least 50 signatures. I think this is the average number of signatures I made daily. If you are not signing any documents, do you also attach your signature with your email messages? Care to share? ~~ NEIL™~~

wow..that is a lot, 50 signatures in a day is something not everyone is doing. You must be either a high ranking officer or an artist to have to sign so many daily. I only put down my signature on some important deals and that is also rare.

no zandi, it just so happen that i am the collecting officer and i issue official receipts in exchange with the fees the office will collect. at the same time, i have daily reports to make everyday which are related to my job. i do not hold a high ranking position, and it just so happen that no other employee is able to handle the work assignment and there is no appropriate position already created to this specific job function.

When I was working outside the home in an office my job consisted of signing my name several times a day especially when I worked in a bank and my job consisted of deciding which cheques to bounce due to overdrawn accounts. I used to send a letter to the clients with my name on in which I had to sign which usually concluded in a nasty phone call from said client! I was glad to leave that job is all I can say...

I do have a signature in my email. It's the one where you put your name in at the bottom, not like what the 1st poster thought of (I think she meant the actual signature) I don't have to sign that much papers since I'm not that high-ranking yet. Though there are times when we get to sign at least 2 papers a day, that's when we're almost finished a project and we're finalizing papers and requesting for approvals

I think I only sign 4 times daily. My attendance sheet. And, frankly, I don't know why we have to sign that sheet since we have biometric time in and out anyway. Occasionally, I sign purchases on credit. But, I'm trying to lessen that because I want to pay off all my debt.

Hi neil! Fifty signatures are a lot! Super many actually. What is your work that requires you to sign your signature that much?? Today, I have only signed my signature twice. That's when I went to the bank and deposited my checks. Yesterday and the other day, I did not sign my signature. There was no instances that required me to do so. I think if I average or give a range of how many times I sign my signature for a week, I'd give 2-3 times only. I do not attach my signature in my email messages.

I won't sign unless there is no other way. My signature is so long it never fits in the space provided and after I have signed 2 or 3 items my hand aches.

Hi neil! When I was working I also signed a lot that's why my signature is very short! hehe Now that I am no longer working, I think I just sign once in a while, like when doing some transactions in bank and remittance centers...and to my email, I don't have any.

oh yes, bank transactions which you mostly do each payday? with email, i guess our name can be considered signature when we make it unique. like the ones i am using at each original post that i make. and jaiho is using it with the original mark on her name.

Hi neildc, First of all it depends on the nature of the job you are in. Putting signature on various documents is usually a while collar job. The job I am in requires a huge number of signature or signs. Scanning exam papers, making out the result sheets, the regular signature we are entitled to do and so and so forth. Earlier we did not have the right to put signature when people come for attestation of the document but now as I have become an Associate Professor I can sign after attestation. Over all and more or less we do put our signature for any document without your signature would not be considered as valid one.

exactly, and in my case, the clearances and the reports made and issued will not be valid without mine.

Nope, nope, nope, I don't sign nothing unless I have to. I use to work for a place that had me sign vendor checks everyweek and still i'll just make a mark and not use my signature. I'm funny about thmy gov.

in some cases, we call it initials or counter-sign which do not necessarily the complete signature. what's "thmy gov." means? sorry i didn't get it.

I seldom will sign my name at work. As most of the communication is by email or phone call. Sometimes I will also send the fax, and then I will sign my name at the bottom. I love China

My work does not deal with papers. This is why I do not sign any documents, except of course from time to time when it is really needed.

It is not quite possible for me to count the numbers of signatures I have signed. Especially these few years I am pursuing a degree. So I am required to sign for my attendance to every lectures daily. Sometimes we have 4 lectures that day so I would need to sign 4 times. That is the case of offline signatures. While I have yet to utilize any online signatures even though I am a frequent internet user.
