can you hate and love a person at the same time?

loving and hating a person occurs when that fellow breaks one's heart. i have experienced falling in love, giving my best but it ended in betrayal. when the guy comes back i could not help but hated him..no matter how i prayed my hatred lasted for quite a long time before i totally forgave him. friends said i was still madly in love that's why i still hated him...would you agree?

Yes you can be in love with someone but you can hate them at the same time.
I sometimes hate my boyfriend because of the mean jokes he says and sometimes when he's stressed he'll yell at me. But at the same time, I love him so much. and I just don't want to loose him.
I wouldn't have my relationship any other way though.

tnx for your reply...the hatred that you feel sometimes is just superficial...i know you are not hating him really. maybe you are just disappointed sometimes because of his behavior..your love for him prevails after all.. keep it up

Love and hate is probably the most intense emotion that humans can feel. There is a thin line between love and hate. Hate is a passion that is equal interest to love. That is why a human that is hurt from love can do evil things out of hatred like murder out of jealousy.

yeah it's true and if one who has undergone depression because of betrayal won't be able to overcome there might be a chance that he could do such evil things. so the only thing to do is to strengthen one's faith because it's only God whom we can rely upon in times of trouble. anyway, tnx for the response...God bless you
