My friend mailed me the below portion and after reading it, I felt like crying:
This is a true story of Mother’s Sacrifice during the China Earthquake.
After the Earthquake had subsided, when the rescuers reached the ruins of a young woman’s house, they saw her dead body through the cracks. But her pose was somehow strange that she knelt on her knees like a person was worshiping; her body was leaning forward, and her two hands were supporting by an object.
The collapsed house had crashed her back and her head. With so many difficulties, the leader of the rescuer team put his hand through a narrow gap on the wall to reach the woman’s body. He was hoping that this woman could be still alive. However, the cold and stiff body told him that she had passed away for sure.
He and the rest of the team left this house and were going to search the next collapsed building. For some reasons, the team leader was driven by a compelling force to go back to the ruin house of the dead woman. Again, he knelt down and used his head through the narrow cracks to search the little space under the dead body. Suddenly, he screamed with excitement, “A child! There is a child!”
The whole team worked together; carefully they removed the piles of ruined objects around the dead woman. There was a 3 months old little boy wrapped in a flowery blanket under his mother’s dead body. Obviously, the woman had made an ultimate sacrifice for saving her son.
When her house was falling, she used her body to make a cover to protect her son. The little boy was still sleeping peacefully when the team leader picked him up.
The medical doctor came quickly to exam the little boy. After he opened the blanket, he saw a cell phone inside the blanket. There was a text message on the screen.
It said, “If you can survive, you must remember that I love you.”
This cell phone was passing around from one hand to another.
Everybody who read the message wept. Such is the mother’s love for her child!
Everybody can do something for you.
But only ‘someone’ can do ‘anything’ for you.

Very touching indeed, parents will always be our parents, you see friend I live with my 79 year old mom and she is no different from what she was when I was young. Ever caring and even getting the dishes I ate on so she can wash it herself even when their are others who would do that instead and I secretly weep when I see this. She came from a well to do family but when it comes to her family she always takes charge even at her age, I owe everything to her and I love her very much, I see to it that she gets the best health care that I could afford and anything she asks for I try to provide the best I can because she was never selfish to us during the time when she was strong, so please every one let us love our parents while they are still with us even if they have short comings, it's only by God's grace that we are afforded this time to give back what they gave to us,perhaps even the gift of life

Hi,
So nice of you. In fact we can't stop whenever we talk about our parents, especially about mother. Many are attached to them so sentimentally and so attached. Especially in the case of girl child, mothers are so close related and even at whatever age, it is true. Even my mother is of your mom's age and she is living with one of my brother now. Till few months back she was near to me with my sister's place and I used to meet her every day. Now as she got health problems here, in this city, she preferred to go back to our native village where my other bothers are living. Even now also if I didn't make a call with in 3-4 days, she will be anxious to hear about me. So, this the heart of a mother and if at all a mother, there no bar on age or time, all are equal in her eyes.

Really a heart melting story. There is no substitute of mother's love. I have seen it in my house too... when i was teenager, i seldom did not take dinner being angry with parents... later father took his meal but mom never. Now i regret why i make her fasted?
But now i am trying my best to make her happy....
By the way, is the boy alive?

As per the report and the narration, we should hope that the child is alive. Even I pray for the same. Few days before also you narrated another side of a mom's pain and worry. Even if the child become grown up and got married, and living with her husband, the mother is still weeping.... thinking about her future. See, this is mother and where we should go for a further definition on mother? A mother is still crying on thinking about her daughter of 20 or 22. This says that as a mother, the love never fades and the brightness goes on increasing as long as they are mother. This says that mother is the one and only concept we need to accept as the purest and as a child to them, we kneel down for them at whatever reasons.

I think there are a lot of parents out there who would say they would do exactly the same for their child - to be honest I am just amazed that the body of the baby wasn't crushed too with the weight falling on the mother!

May be the whole weight was bearing by the body of the mother and the child must have dipped under neath where there may be some vacant place or something like. We have to justify through certain imaginations and let it leave for fate. Also, there has been certain tips and guidelines published in certain news papers and TVs, immediately after the earlier earthquate which hit in China and the nearby places.
When such incidents happening, if possible, we have to try to be around to some tables where there is any shape like 'L' and 'A' where vacant places is kept. Even if something falling on top or side by side, if there is a space like this around, we can be safe in that particular places. There are instance they have saved some people who were lying in such places for 1 or 3 or more days alive.
Here as it totally a different situation and we have to judge the situation in our own way.

I can feel the great love.
She risk her life the moment she gave birth and then again she sacrifice her life to save her child.
Is there greater love than this?

I feel happy for seeing this discussion, but I am extremely sad for what happened to the mother
. this proves that once you have a family, that you're life is not you're own anymore. the problem now is who's going to take care of that boy and how he will be able to maintain that last message that came from her moms mobile phone.
I feel lucky still that I have a Mom that cares for me still even at my age. though am so blessed that my mom didn't suffer the way that mom did, I know all of her sacrifices.

Hi Knight,
This kind of incidents persuade we people to think more and value our mothers' innocence. I know even my mother also suffered a lot to bring up her all children (we 5 of all). I got a fade memory from my age of 4 and many one-off incidents are very much in my mind even now also. In fact in a different discussion yesterday, I narrated my 4 years old incident also! In this case, I hope the authorities would take care of the child and give proper care and attention in the coming future.
When see or read such incidents, in fact the love towards everyone's mother may get doubled or atleast they will remember their mother for some time. I think almost all mothers are the same towards their child even if they got many children. This would be the world's purest relation and it cannot be compared. All living things are getting a blessed chance to enjoy the love of mother by natural way. Some are unlucky to experience it, still as per the law of nature, all are expected to get the love from their loving mother. Thanks for your response and we can spend few minuets to remember our mother or those who have mother around can sit with her and can look into her eyes and can see her love still alive in her eyes.

Yes friend you are true after reading this story my tears has came and you are right mother has no substitute..in our heart no one can fill the place of mother and the Lord Krishna is also says do the Pooja first of your mother because due to our mother we can see this world and how she bear the pain for her child but now in new generation no child can not understand this..The child cant forget this event for whole life..and everyone can ask the value of mother from those person who has no mother.

Yes, mother is the purest word that we can find in this world which can be applicable for the entire living things. Not only human beings, even animals and who all are having life with a relation of mother and child has have a different attachment and which cannot be expressed, it is to be experienced. This is the reason why each and every living thing in this world should firstly understand and realise what is what and the nature has given a chance to understand this phenomenon.
We all ignore the importance of a loving mother and we got thousands of such stories around to memmarise our loving mothers. The entire discussion I dedicate in the name of my loving mother.

I also think that mother's love for the child is the best and true love in the world. I think most times mother's love their children without any conditions. I think most times we love others with some conditions at least with condition of getting back the love we gave to others and mother never ask for the love returned back to them.

I believe in miracles like you wouldn't believe. This is one of the most heart warming and wrenching stories I have ever read and I believe whole-heartedly that it's true. You don't see love like that everyday and that little baby is blessed to have such a wonderful mother to sacrafice her life for this little one. Praise be!

We all were a child at a time and have a mother with such a loving heart. Only my pray is that if she is still alive, we should not forget the intensity of the love that she must have given to us when we all are a child. People used to say that it is their duty to look after the child or they also must have enjoyed a lot when we got as a child to them.
In whatever situations, I still believe that the love of a mother is still beyond comparison and that is the purest of all.

A mothers love is unmatched and the most amazing things that it crosses all lines. Sometimes the mother bear instinct kicks in and you are taken over as if you are outside of yourself.
That mothers sacrifice is something to be marveled at. She literally saved her child's life by having a house fall on her back.

Every mother is blessed with such a mind set with their children. This is something extreme towards the love at the last moment and I think the world will remember her for ever who ever she is. Only it has identified in this way and noticed everything in time and if it was noticed after a day or few hours later, nothing could have been make out.

Yes, when we think of such incidents, we become speechless and become silent for some time. We are helpless and can only able to pay sympathy on them. After all, we can imaging what could have been the thinking of that mother at her last moments.

I agree with viju love has no substitute and no one can take the place of mother. Mother place is like God place in our heart. Everyone should take care of this our mother do the lots of sacrifice to live child happy life.
Story is really touched the heart. Only child can imagine how they feel after dying their mother. But now new generation child not understand properly the feeling of mother they dont like to stay with parents.

Yes, it is really a fact that the modern young generation never value the love of their mother. It is every children they should identify and understand how much they love them and the love towards their mother can be compensated by loving them back and they also feel good when a child loves their mother as is required.

Really it is very touching story. The woman in this story is very great and her sacrifice for her child is really incredible. It is said that Mother's sacrifice is greater than the God. Mother's blessings are more powerful than the thousands of seas. Thus mother's love is a treasure for us.

Yes, I think the word 'mother' has the broadest meaning and one word and concept we need respect for ever. We can see a lot of such things happened everywhere. Yes, such a scene make every mothers to be more close to their children and you are absolutely right that it was a lucky child. We can see that anywhere if there is some trouble happens around, the mother would be panic would be restless when they think about their child. When the child become sick, their mind also feel uncomfortable. You also being a good mother, I can ready your mind and in several times I could understand the love towards your child and it is obviously says that all the sacrifices are challenged to bring the child with a best future. All mothers like becomes like this and I appreciate you for being a caring mother and when situations like this comes up, all mothers would forget about everything and will think about the life of their children only.

Even knowing all these things, some people are ignoring their parents even mothers also when it come in terms of money and wealth. I know so many people abandoned their mother once they are in a good position. Many are of the complaint is that the wife cannot adjust with the mother in laws. They are not thinking that a mother-in-law is also a mother and she also deserve love and protection when they become old aged. I think it is everyone's duty to protect them when they become in need of a help form their children.

Thank you for this wonderful sharing. I really cried after reading this story, it made me realized how important my mother is. I am very proud for the mother in the story because her love for his son is endless that she even sacrifes her own life. I am also a mother and I am giving all the needs, love and support for my child. I would do eveything for her. Yes, nice comment. All children should understand the role of a mother. Though they understand during the course of life, they may not be knowing the importance of a mother. The difference is that a mother never expect anything return when they are a child. What we can give to the mother as a compensation is our love towards them and that could be the maximum valued thing for them.

That was a beautiful story of love.
And it makes me cry I read it to my son and felt so sad for the mother and he realized about the love that I feel for him, he said "mom I know that you would do that for me in case of I don't want nothing bad happen to you mom!"
