Sleep, work and socialize

According to a "life coach" who once held a brief talk during our high school days, there are three things that we had to balance as students. Our grades, social life, and health. However, normally, we can only achieve 2 out of 3, at a time. If you have good grades and a social life, then you will end up getting less time to sleep. A good social life and enough sleep will make your grades suffer. And if you're getting good grades and still having enough sleep, you'll end up with zero social life. It occurred to me that I was on the 3rd category at that time. In college, I was more into the 2nd category. Now, replacing "grades" with how efficient I am at work, I'd say I'm in the 1st category. Lately though I'm trying to do the 3rd one since I think I badly needed enough Zs... Of course there are those who are exemptions to the rule. I'd be happy if I can have all three achieved.

I think that at college studying is important each evening except Friday when socializing is possible. Then having an early night Sunday to Thursday is important. Then staying up late on Friday and Saturday evening is easy to do. When I was at university I often had a day out on Saturday. I went back home once a month and the train fare was pricey like fifty pounds each time. Good health is very important indeed so is eating a healthy diet. It is sensible to revise for exams plenty of time ahead of the examination timetable. Like if the exams begin in June then I suggest start revising in March.

I was actually doing pretty good in high school since we're scholars, being paid by the government to study and we rarely get a chance to go out since the dorm's kinda strict. I also go home once or twice in a month but the travel time is around 3hours one-way so in my last year I only got to go home once in two months. In college though, I had more time to enjoy those things that I missed in high school since I thought I wouldn't have to study as much. Well, I guess I was wrong ^^
