I absolutely love taking pictures and getting to be creative with cameras and photoshop. I was wondering what the best camera brand would be to invest in for a professional quality camera and what is its' cost?

I'm more into Canon. I think it's durable and they have a wide range of choices be it for non-pro or professional photographers. For the price I'm not sure about the new models. You can maybe check out some reviews about their cameras or visit their website.

I personally own a Canon 500D and I have no qualms with it. I know that more professionals in the industry use Nikon, but Canon is more commercial and more user-friendly, in my opinion.

I am sure most of people will suggest you to go for Canon. Even I have done a lot of RND on this subject and found that Canon is considered to be the best choice when it comes to DSLRs. I have a super zoom camera now (Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ35) and even that gives me good pictures. You can check my photographs here: http://www.amitavroy.com

I like the Canon Brand. Some of the entry level DSLR Cameras have the guts of the more expensive models. If you are on a limited budget you could start with an entry model and then spend your money on better lens as you can use the same lens when you upgrade your camera body. You might want to rent a camera for the weekend and try it out and the try another one on a different weekend.

Personally I like Canons, as far as digital cameras go. I have a Powershot and it's the BEST!
