Anybody here into stock trading or investing

We opened an account with an online stockbroker. Our capital started at 10k and grew to 17k after months. Now we invested like 85 k and it went as high as 97k. I am going to attend seminars regarding stock investing to empower me more regarding this kind of stuff.
Anyone here who is into stocks? Share your ups and downs and how you were able to overcome it. Share your techniques in reading charts and graphs and what stocks are you in.

I have invested my money by buying a company's shares. the company was a new growing company. The time I sold my shares again, the share's price increased 470%. I prefer to buy a new and growing company shares, because a new and growing company still have a lot of change to be a big company. The more the company is growing, the more the shares' price is increasing. It is my strategy to get profit by investing in stock. I am not really expert in reading a graph of a company's stock price. I just follow my logical and instinct in reading the graph of the company's stock price.

I know this is an older discussion, but it got my attention because I am trying to get into stock trading. I just recently opened a trading account, but I have not actually done anything with it yet. I attended a seminar on trading, and I have been reading up a lot on it lately, because I want to feel a lot more comfortable with it before I start trying to trade with real money. It is always interesting and inspiring to hear of other people's success with it!

That is very interesting. So, you are doing very well in the stock market business. That is because you have the experience and the expertise for it. I have been thinking about it too, but I don't have the experience, and need to take time to study the market trends properly first. Good luck to you !

I made my living for 20 years while unemployed by investing in a mixture of growth and income stocks. I quadrupled my net worth in a period of 12 years while having enough to live off of and to buy a house. My income has come from mostly high dividend stocks, most recently REITs and mREITs. I even have a blog that I just recently started to make entries to after not doing so for s few years.

i also wanted to to invest in stocks but i am not sure coz i don't know much about it. And since, i am living in the countryside, stock trading is not popular. We heard it alright but that is it, at least for me. i really wanted to, so any tips for beginners who have no idea about this? i read about stocks but i still can't fully understand it. thanks
