I found a website that really does send your text messages (sms) absolutely free; no questions asked. I received messages on my cellphone quick. You don't have to register, download, and/or install anything. Although you could if you wanted to. I tried a lot of websites and they don't send my sms text messages that easy. I just thought I'd share it. FYI/Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with the service ok? I wash my hands of any and all responsibility. Use the service at your own risk. http://smstexter.com/

I have a limited text plan, and when I know that I am getting close to my number of texts for the month, then I use a similar program that yahoo offers. My husbands work phone has unlimited texts so I will text him using the computer. Also, I do not have a qwerty pad on my phone just the numbers, and i always screw up my texts. this way I can just type.

Oh then that's good plan, but why not just change your plan. So you don't have to stay home when texting him from this site?

yahoo has this feature through their email program. I use it occasionally and like it.

I used to use yahoo a while back but I stopped because I think it wanted to charge me or the recipients after a certain free period. Did they change the policy?

I don't think they ever had free text messaging, when I tried a while ago it tried charging the reciever or something
