Dancewear in Dance Classes Nowadays

Well, when I was a child still dancing in dance classes, leotards (typically black)and tights were the norm in dancewear. They are not just for ballet anymore - they are worn for tap, modern, and jazz. Well, take a gander at the dance attire nowadays. Tights gave way to shorts - booty shorts, bike shorts, and short shorts with writing on the backside. Leotards gave way to camisole, bra, other crop, and tank tops. Imagine having a time machine and you are going to travel to a dance convention in 1985. The dancers are mostly in leotards, unitards, and tights (colored ankle leggings as well as the standard pink. tan, and black). If they are wearing bra-like tops, they usually pair them with the tights and high-cut, undie-like garments called dance briefs/dance trunks. Travel to the most recent recent convention and you'll see even more bra/crop tops, tanks, and camis that aren't leotards. Instead of those tights, trunks or briefs, you'll see booty, short, or bike shorts. Those experiences of imagination raise this question: what do you think of the dancewear you see in dance classes - both convention and dance studio? How do you feel about that change in dancewear trends? I for one found the evolution pretty dynamic, if not, a bit evolutionary in the decline of modesty (laughs).

I liked the old classy Dance attired as nowadays kid/adult wear more revealing clothes, but some people do think it is more comfortable wearing booty shorts, which is understandable but get longer booty shorts
