The rose is the national flower of the United States, so designated in 1986, but in the late 1960's there was a very strong advocate for the marigold to be made the national flower.
I live in the state of Texas and our state flower is the blue bonnet, and we had a very strong advocate for wild flowers in the former first lady, Lady Bird Johnson, Lyndon B. Johnson's wife.

Do you mean that every state in US will have different color rose? By the way, this is Lotus in my country.

Actually the concept of the national flower is not so clear in our country. And it seems that there is not a final answer yet. But people tend to think that the peony is our national flower since it represents wealth. And it seems that the national flower in UK is the rose. And of course the tulip stands for Holland.
I love China

Your country is very large and there are many different parts. So, I think it's difficult to choose national flower. However, your country's culture is very worthy to admire.

I don´t know how I could miss this post, friend, as I love flowers so much and I´m so proud of our national flower. Chile´s national flower is the copihue, a beautiful vine that grows in the south of Chile. I´ll post a picture of the flower for you to see.

Our national flower is locally known as the sampaguita. I searched for its English name and its Arabian Jasmine. They're small white flowers that are very fragrant.

Jasmine is often used to marinate tea in my country. They are very fragrant and beautiful. They are usually planted before the gate.
