anyone here agree with me, that tonight we had seen another good goalkeeeper had been found
i mean Andreas Lindergaard
he is one of the hero for MU tonight when he must make a debut in champions league..
he saves many chance of Benfica and play very confident and helps his team bring 1 points from Benfica home..
what do you think about Lindergaad performance in his first match??

I have not seen the match or the highlights, so really do not know how he performed. But if he did perform as well as you have mentioned then De Gea better watch out. De Gea's performances thus far in the season have been far from convincing. So if Lindergaard showed more promise then he could become the no. 1 choice goalkeeper for Man U.

I actually do not think it was such a big risk. Because in the early rounds of Champions League the competition is not always very high. So a lot of the stronger clubs like to experiment with personnel and strategy at these early stages of the CL.

I saw lindergaard performance
actually iam shocking while i think Ferguson take a risk when he decide for playing Lindergaard
but i want to give 9 for lindergaard performance
he is really confident and save many chances from Benfica..
one of the best player in that match

Judging from the highlights I have seen, Lindergaard has put up a wonderful performance and helped Manchester United to get a point from that match. We have to wait how he will do from now on to make a pertinent conclusion. Yesterday he was brilliant, but maybe the fact that it was his debut in the Champions League has boosted his performance a lot.

That is a good characteristic for a goalkeeper, because without confidence you cannot pull up some great performances. And you know that goalkeepers have to be more courageous and they need more confidence for that.

First match is always difficult to play because it's match to test the other team's ability and performance. With this, i would say Lindergaard had a good game and he's able to keep benfica's attacks at bay, conceding only one goal in a hostile stadium, where no english teams has ever won there, except for man united. Good game, and he will improve.
