do you think mylot should have a like feature like other web 2.0 sites?

I'm new at mylot but I have noticed that there is no like button. In my own opinion, I think it is better if there is a like button. Just so to express that you agree to a certain statement in discussions. What do you think?

there is no need of like button feature like other websites. mylot already given you this feature under suggest post as positive or negative. so this function is same as like and dislike. only names are different.

Oh dear friend this is incorrect and I would like to help you by saying that if you use the DRS - discussion rating system like a like and or dislike feature then you will be abusing the system. In the guidelines it clearly says hammering and or abusing the system to inflate and or deflate the DRS will cause it to affect your very own. We are only to use the DRS on how it impacts the community as a whole, not on individual likes and or dislikes.
Hoping you do get my comment here, because if you do use it like a like and or dislike you will see it will affect your own ratings down the line.

No I do not think we should have this feature here, this is a world wide discussion site. Where members here are from all over the world and what I dislike does not necessary mean it is right for me to dislike it in the public view. Doing so means that we would be unfairly judging members and or discussions. It would cause for a great many disgruntle members as lot of us are very passionate about what we discuss here.
Being new I think it is best that you take a look at the site and give it a chance as to what it offers. myLot is so user friendly so I hope you do enjoy your stay.

No, that would not be a good idea. If I like a discussion, I'm going to obviously post a response to it. If I don't like a discussion, I am rather not going to bother to post a response. That is how we should express our likes and dislikes in an intelligent society, but Facebook and such website have corrupted it to mindless self gratification. The same for another post in said discussion.
It would lead to less intelligent participation and the entire quality of the website would go downhill rather quickly. A Like button is something that would be one of the worst things that could ever happen to myLot. It is change for the sake of change. It might seem like a good idea to many people and I don't begrudge them for that, but I think that it would do damage. Therefore, thumbs completely down. That's not what myLot is.

you can suggestion to our admin top change mylot style, so that have like button as like in fb etc
