Do you always know how much money you have in your wallet?

Is it your habit to always count the exact amount of money in your wallet before you go out? Me it's not been my habit to always check the amount of money I have in my wallet, but I do have an estimate in mind. I know my money is more or less of a certain amount. My money in my wallet is usually composed of different amount of paper bills that's why it's not been my habit to count it every time. How about you, is it your habit to know first the exact amount of money you have in your wallet before going outside your house? Let us know. Thanks!

I always know how much money I have in my house and out of my bank account. I like to have it that way, because it means that you always know exactly how much money you have to spend and how much longer you will be able to wait before getting more money out of your cash machine. I think that it is good to know how much you have, because it helps you to keep a track on your spending, whereas if you just keep getting cash out without knowing where it's going then you would probably lose track of spending easily.

That is really a good practice. Monitoring your money carefully will help you to budget and lessen your expenses. Keep it up. Thank you for responding.

I do usually know how much money I have in my wallet. I like to carry around a certain amount -- enough in case I need to buy things, but not so much that if I were to lose it in any way (lost, stolen, etc. -- God forbid!) I wouldn't be left mourning the loss.

Hi, sideword. Welcome to myLot! Yes, I only want to make sure that I have enough of money in my wallet to buy what I may need out of the store. This is only when I count all of the money that is in my wallet. I don't want to be short when I go to the store to buy what I may need.

I don't usually count my money in my wallet, too. But before I go out, I always see to it that I have a thousand in my wallet and base my expenses for the day from there. I keep a about a thousand worth just in case something comes up and I need to spend on emergent situations, but there usually isn't. And I'm quite thrift, not really an impulsive buyer so I know I'm not spending unnecessarily here and there. But I think it's always safe when you check your money before you eat out and spend for something.

I don't count my money whole time and I don't know what is in my wallet. So if somebody takes out some money I wouldn't notice that very quickly. But I do know if or how much money I have with me before I leave the house.
