MALE Teacher Slaps female teen student

teacher violence - slapping the student is wrong, even for a female teacher

Hello Lotters, That is so low, would have been a good excuse if you're gay but it seemed you're not. more like a f@g to me. There had been a lot of abuse coming from the teachers, most occassions were rape and harassment. last time, a teacher made the student crawl and hit em with wooden stick. they said it was a punishment, but that's not a way to teach a student. Now, another teacher, which is supposed to be "straight" slaps a girl for refusing to pair with a guy student on a project or school activity or something. The parents only found out through the neighbor who told them everything. Student was so paranoid, she never wanted to go to school, ever again

Wow, just wow! If that ever happened here in Canada, the teacher would've lost his job right then and there. Heck, we ain't supposed to hit our own kids, fercryingoutloud. Anyway, back to the issue at hand, that's no way to great a person you're SUPPOSED to be teaching and guiding, and that's a real great way to destroy trust in yor students!!!! I don't blame the girl that she doesn't want to go back to school again. Sounds like her parents treat her way better than that teacher does! Go figure.

Hello Masihi, I don't know what happened later when the media went there with the student and principal w/ the teacher hitter. It's good that the parents treats her better otherwise that student would have been considered a complete rebel.

I agree Masihi! The teacher should lose his job for this. I wouldn't want to go to school either.

I really hate it when teachers punish students physically or verbally. I mean there are ways to nicely explain and turn things around, they don't have to be a beast Anyway I remember the time when I was a kid. There was this teacher who punished almost half our class for not knowing the mathematics tables. After that, the teacher always scared me and i always tried hard avoiding the teacher. If the teachers feel that punishing a student will make him/her concentrate more in their studies, that is so wrong.

Hello thatgirl, This is what usually the part of teaching methods in the past and this is really awful but you know using a fist on a girl from a male is so wrong on all grounds. No, it won't it will just scare the person and keep him or her from focusing on the studies. Have a Nice day.

I agree. It can cause a sensitive student to freeze up and be too afraid to concentrate. It was enough if I teacher just looked upset with me for me to change my behavior, but I really tried to follow all the rules in the class.

LetranKnight25, Like you, I do not condone to discipline by physical brute force including slapping. I could not help feeling some high-handedness by this teacher when he should have try to understand what the issue was and convince with proper education. It is not even a major offense to warrant a corporal punishment even. I am sure everyone is wondering just what was on this teacher's mind when he slapped his student over such an issue. Whatever his excuse may be, it is still not the right thing to do. I hope schools will be equally strict with their teachers as far as meting out punishments on errant students. There must be control or it would be chaotic when it becomes free for all.

Hello Skysuccess, who would? only a sick minded like this teacher can do such a thing. I am sure he got mad because the student simply didn't want a man as his partner. though i can understand the troublesome deficiencies in our educational system, teachers has less salary with huge tax deduction..they even considered shouldering school materials and expenses. have nice day.

Maybe that student has a trauma already. If I am on her shoes then I wouldn't want to go in school. Teachers are mentors and to begin with they are also considered as employees while students are their customers as well that they have to help them in order for them to learn. They are not supposed to be a tormentor. That is a problem with most teachers they tend to be a terrorist.

Hello Metatronik, Indeed most specially from competition, neglect and being bullied by fellow students. I agree, they don't have the right to teach anymore if they go violent against a student, patience is a strong demand for teachers. i think lack of salary is what makes them do this. Have a nice day.

Hello Catch, you're right the school is a second home and the teachers are supposed to be helping the kids be guided. what the teacher did caused the student to be paranoid and feared of going to school. maybe the student was a lesbian and didn't like guys to be partners in their own way

I agree that teachers are overworked and underpaid. So are alot of other people in careers that should demand high levels of respect. If you do not have the patience it takes to teach and you can not control your emotions, then it is time to seek a new career. I don't think schools and teachers are quite as respectable as they used to be. Even if the student was lesbian, it is highly unlikely that is why she refused to be partnered with a boy. No school project would require that they be physical with each other.

This is awful! What teacher has the right to put their hands on a student? Really, a girl or boy in a teacher's class must have the right to bring charges against the teacher for assault. The parents should not rest until the teacher is brought to justice.

Hello Pointless-Q, I understand you're anger, but of course probably the teacher has other problems that lend her to do this. the teacher should just give up his job knowing such incident would spread accross the town and the parents might prohibit their children from going to their school. have a nice day.

Now, that is a good lawsuit. A teacher (or you) cannot slap or abuse someone because he/she refuses to do what you desire.

Hello Netsbridge, Indeed a good lawsuit and hopes that the teacher's license will be removed so that he can never teach anymore. It's not fair for teh student who is now traumatized for what has happened. Have a nice day.

HI Letran, That is unbelievably horrible!! Do you have a link to this? Oh if that were my girl, I'd be the school's worst nightmare! I raised my girls without hitting and any one of them would have been tramatized by something like this. I would be traumatized by something like this as a parent. It's not even a good excuse if your gay. there is no excuse in the world for slapping a kid and especially someone else's kid! What country was this in?

Well, Thanks for looking, Letram. Maybe it happened in one of those small towns where NOTHING seems to hit the news. I work in a town like that. I listen to the cops and so i KNOW that a lot of stuff happens and yet to read the news, you NEVER see anything about this town and would think it is pretty crime-free when in fact it is quite the opposite. YOU heard it which tells me that others have as well. Teachers get put on suspension for much smaller incidents so I'm sure that this teacher will probably end up being fired or forced to resign. Hopefully he will anyway.

Hello Sid, I tried to find it in the website but it seemed that it's not part of the headlines but they did report it yesterday. Hope the guy looses his job for this incident, we are not on the dark ages anymore, and human rights are definitely visible now. have a nice day.

Okay for some reason if the girl is paranoid to go back to school then it sounds like there is a bit more to this story then what is here. I mean why did she not tell her parents. Also why did the other students not get mad and go to authority. Rape and harassment is a little different then actual 1960's punishment. This is against the law now and they should be punished as well.

Hello Amanda, Yeah i agree but the media likes to report the incident only with out knowing the history. I guess i can say that she and the students were threatened some how by the teacher. so sad though the media don't dig and probably wants the viewers like me to go on flames, there should have been more story to it.

Hello Jai-sis, I wouldn't be surprise if you're going through hell and earth just to bring this teaacher down. Yeah, I've seen you're daughter in the pics, and am sure that he will never dare to teach again for that kind of behavior. Have a nice day.

I do not understand your statement about being gay. Please explain what that has to do with slapping or being slapped for refusing to pair with another student. Whether either the teacher or the student were gay matters not one bit. The teacher has no right to slap that student. Teachers are certainly not like they were in my day. The teachers I was blessed to have realized that their job was to teach and council the students. Teachers then were in the field for the right reasons. The commanded respect from students by the way they (the teachers) conducted themselves. If we were to be physically punished, we were sent to the principle's office. Our parent's were then informed of every detail of this event. To be sent to the principle was a disgrace. Today, it doesn't seem to be the same embarrassment to kids. I think that the teacher should have questioned to see why the girl didn't want to be paired with the male student. I have a problem with the teachers putting their hands on students. I do not believe that teachers should be given the authority to impose physical punishments on students. For this reason, I refused to allow it. Instead, in the event of any problems that warranted such punishment, the school was to call me, and I would come administer any spankings necessary.

Hello deedee, Well, i guess it's an expression that will be hard to explain, but i guess i should have been written it in a proper words. when a man hits a girl here, they are quickly judge as GAY, and i've seen it a hundred times. but as all of you have been saying, gay or straight, they have no right to hit the student, most specially if it's a girl. have nice day.

why students are only a common choice for slapping? is the teacher brave enough to slap a school principal? Its a prey and a predator, where Goliath is brave enough to face a small guy David...

Hello mantis, I don't know as to why a Teacher has to slap the principal though. but i do remember a teacher taking a stand against an abusive principal. by the way, that teacher was my mom, taking a stand against the principal who happened to be bias and abusive. am glad she's no longer on that school.

To me it doesn't matter if he was a teacher, or have different interests in gender. A male should NEVER hit a female. Especially with a reason for a student refusing to pair up with another student. For any reason at all a man should never hit a woman. Furthermore as an educator he himself should not hit a student. His job is to educate. Though disciplining a student is part of educating them, it should never be through physically hitting. I believe in the whole negative enforcement and positive enforcement when it comes to disciplining a child, but only to a certain extent. Once someone reaches a certain age, a new type of discipline has to be given and hitting should not be part of it. Also I believe the teacher was stepping over his authority for actually hitting a student, being a male and hitting a female just made it even more worst.

Hello I agree that he has no right to do such thing and i feel bad for the student. I think we have media and Human rights organizations already and such barbaric ways of disciplining a student shouldn't be anymore encourage for future teachers. negative re-enforcement can degrade a student most specially if they are sensitive.

Woah, now that's really full on, the teacher slapped the poor girl just because she wouldn't pair up with someone? Now that's real low for a teacher, a professional to do something like that in school too! If that happened in my country, that teacher would have been imprisoned and charged for assault. But who knew what drove the teacher to such drastic actions, I remember my English teacher told me that she had to hold down a kid in a headlock because he tried to physically harm another student.

Hello Triple0, I don't know but the teACHER should have at least talk to the student later on to why he didn't want to partner with that guy. well, iin that situation the child should have been stop by security and not the teacher. have a nice day.

I think those kind of deeds of the teacher is occasional. Because accept the facts that not all of us have the desire of doing good to anyone. There still people who is evil in mind... The department of education should set a seminars regarding this figures so that it will be avoid more and more cases...abusing students
