i really love this musical a lot!

when i was a child, my mom bought me a cassette tape which was the sound of music. And i love it a lot until now i played this compact disc. Dear Mr. Jesus is my favorite song here. It inspired me especially to children who have been abuse by their parents. The song is all about a child asking to God by her prayers, wondering of why his her parents always hurt her using their big hands. Its so sad that still, there were parents treating their children improperly. I'm so blessed that i have not perfect but the best parents for me. :)

I remember when this came out. all the women in the neighborhood would rush to the old Roxy cinema on state street, just to watch this film, for the 10th time. I really believe most of those moms saw this movie at least 20 times in that small theater with the sticky floor and gum on the seats. This was such an old theater, that they had a housecat that roamed the theater to keep the mouse population down. I remember my moms friend screaming when the cat brushed her legs in the dark theater, lol. Yes great film.

Ah the Sound of Music, it brings back many memories for me when I was a child. I went to the cinema to see the film and all the children in my neighbour knew all the songs off by heart and we used to ride our bikes and sing them at the top of our voices.
My children also like the film very much. I don't think films like this will ever go out of fashion.

me too i love this musical..it is truly timeless and classic and i love the songs they sing too..i love to play it and i let my child listen to it too...until now, when i saw it being shown tv, i am always excited and always love to watch it..
