1 November... the day when people celebrate halloween (day of dead). do you dress in scary masks and go around shooting people houses with eggs? or you prefer going form house to house collecting candies, or maybe you like scaring other kids...

Well, in my country Halloween has been celebrated even during the times of my grand parents. They have a different way of celebrating, they don't wear masks or horrifying costumes they just go from one house to another and sing songs for the souls, its like Christmas caroling but the songs are different. Nowadays, those practice was gone already and replaced by more modern or westernize way of celebrating Halloween. Some kids go to the malls and go from one shop to another to ask for candies and other freebies. There are street parties also in some areas of the city and exclusive parties. I guess the varying Halloween celebrations can be attributed tot he changing times.

Hi, HicMuhamed. Welcome to myLot! Here in the United States, this date is October 31st for us all. I don't get dressed up in a costume at all. I don't even dress my kids up in a costume either. I will allow my kids to have a party at school, and we also will just watch scary shows. My kids will watch kid related scary shows, while I will watch a show that is very scary.

a bit of that and then some, but we do it on the 31st of October. we decorate our house. we carve pumpkins. we give out sweets. we take younger relatives trick or treating in costumes. some people do find our elaborately decorated house spooky aside from that, we celebrate the festival of the last harvest, where there is a feast of the less easily preserved parts of meat. so we have pate, we have offal. I make lots of soup and bread and stew. we also celebrate and remember our ancestors, and leave out a meal for them. it's a time to remember those that have passed, and who have passed our blood on to us.

For Halloween now that I'm a little too old for dressing up, is basically just a day to hang out and watch horror films on tv. There's always a party in town somewhere and if invited I'll go along and hang out there otherwise my days of dressing up and scaring other kids is over
