Right or wrong?

Hi friends... Here, the highway near my home is under construction and there is an area of almost 3 kms where many road accidents have occurred due to some stupid drivers who always tend to violate the rules (even my best friend DEEP also died in this area). The polices are busy with bribing and they never think anything about the accidents if the drivers make them satisfied by money. I have also faced several times... the trucks and buses never use deeper at night which makes trouble to the opposite driver even some fall down in gutter. The speedy cars never blow horn from backside and often overtake the motorbikes or other vehicles with a very high speed. So, some guys from that area are doing the duty of traffic police.... if someone violates such rules which are obligated to obey... the guys follows those vehicles in group and pull out the drivers... then some slaps and all the documents are snatched away.... sometimes head lights are broken if dont use deeper after signaling by the opposite driver. So what ever they are doing.... right or wrong? what do you think?

Hiya shibs, I don´t know about the treatment they give to offending Drivers but maybe its the only way they sit up and listen I suppose at the moment. Very dangerous driving there but there is still dangerous driving going on here too even though there are People actually in Jail for these offences they go out and do it again and again. The other Day and I thank God for the very lucky star we have a Lorry Driver got in front of us very narrowly causing us to pull back very quickly otherwise he would have smashed us to bits. If we had been in the right frame of mind we could have reported him as these kind of Lorry Drivers cause so many accidents. We managed to get out of that one but the Lorry Driver was very arrogant and just smirked as we went past although I was trying not to look at someone so stupid. Yesterday a Car in front of us was zigzagging in one lane and out of the other he would neither let us past or stop behaving so stupidly either. At the top of the Road here there is a special Driving School for these offending People because they are forced to take Classes again and get permission to be able to drive all over again. They usually sit out on a Wall and make a big Party about it all and glare at anyone going into the Garage with a Car. Defiant is what I call their attitude yet if someone killed a member of their Family in a Car accident pretty sure they would be seeking revenge anyway they could. Me I think they should be banned for life if they keep repeating this dangerous attitude towards other People.xxx

Me again, If after all the Laws they have put up in this Country don´t work either as it seems they don´t then I think that the People in your area are doing what they feel right. Not saying its right or wrong either it seems its the only way for those reckless People to be trained on the Road. Stay safe shibs sounds very dangerous all that.xxx

oh shibham I feel for you as knee injuries are just plain awful. is there any group of people in India who have eno ugh clout to fire corrupt police officers and hire honest men? that would be so good. Its so dangerous when civilians have to take the law inbto their own hands as someone alwys goes to hard and somelone gets killed.

Hi angel... One day, i was coming home with my friend in my bike. It was almost night and raining .... the road was full of water and a truck was coming from our opposite side. The focus of his head light was so sharp that i was not able to see the road, so i signaled for dipper but he completely ignored us .... due to it my bike fell in a deep gutter and we both shouted.... luckily no accident occurred but my friend picked up a stone and threw it to the front glass of the truck and it was smashed... the truck stopped and my friend pulled out the driver and blowed him several times... when his partner came to save him and attack my friend... i hit him with my helmet and he fell down.... later we reached the home safe.... i never regret for that as i think that i have made some senses for some stupid. last night, it was raining and i was coming home from my job place... the road of my village was so muddy and slippery.... so i slipped down and got hurt under my knee... but its okay now.. So improvements need here from all sides. have a nice time.

I don´t think it help taking justice in one´s hands in such ways. It sound like the law of the jungle and it could end on killing someone who has killed without a trial. The "rightdoesrs" are as violent or more as the drivers. I´d put barriers (even soil ones would do if the neighborgs cannot get concrete) so the cars have to slow down or they will damage their cars.

I agree that people should be concerned for their security. But there are different ways of doing it and I prefer a pacific alternative. There always id a better road.

There is no way either marguicha.... when polices are sleeping than people should be concern for securing themselves. I am not justifying them but hard to say that they are wrong too. Have a nice time.

Firstly Shibham, I would like to say that I am sorry for the loss of your friend Deep, so very sad. I think that the corruption within the police force needs to be dealt with and then there can be proper law enforcement but until this is sorted bribery and corruption will still alow these people to get away with it even with the vigilantees trying to do there bit. They will end up getting hurt and the problem will still remain. Huggles. Ellie :D

I started a discussion years ago about DEEP... You know, here polices are often mistreated or beaten by civilians for their way of service and mannerless behavior. When riots raise, its very hard to control them by police... here police means nothing sometimes.. have a nice time.

Hi shibham, The people are just frustrated and angry that your police order is not doing their jobs so they are taking the law into their hands. I don't think this is the right way to go, but if the police does not do anything then maybe, just maybe the drivers might think twice about breaking the law. That would not work here, as we are not allowed to take the law into our hands. Not only would the people who stopped the crazy drivers and caused the damage go to jail, but sadly the drivers, even if they broke the law can sue the people for their damage. It is a really lost situation in your country and maybe the police will someday make some type of changes. I would hope so but sadly no time soon it seems.

Hi Shibham I guess hurting others and breaking head lights is not good. But its like little confusing situation. As you are saying police and government is not doing anything for these crazy drivers. Then somebody have to something about it. So if we think this way its looking right but still I think there should be other way instead of going on wrong way.

I don't think I can really blame these guys for trying to make this road safer. If the police won't do anything, I can understand why some would be tempted to do try to improve the situation. While this is considered wrong, what is the alternative?? To allow more accidents while idiots drive like madmen?? Maybe after the word gets out that speedy reackless drivers will be punished by the locals, some progress can be made. It's really too bad it has to come to this but I sympathize with those who became so desperate they had to act like the police because the police would not take care of the situation.

Yes, the entire road scenario of my province is dangerous.... there are always news of road accidents in media.... and polices are silent as they have nothing to do accept taking bribes. So, if civilian takes the law in his hand, i think not so wrong because everyone wish to be secured. Have a nice time.

hi shibham it sounds like just retribution but sadly those kinds of vigilante groups can get out of hand and be as lawless as the law breakers themselves. w at you really need are honest police officers who will do their jobs and their duties to stop the traffic violations and the deaths instead of police accepting bribes.so its wrong in some way to use vigilante justice although it is indeed appealing as someone will go too far and kill the stupid drivers which is also a crime.i think your country needs to get in some honest police officers who will do what they are hired for and not corrupt men.

Right and wrong. Wrong, because they shouldn't be beating people up. Right because the police aren't helping, and they feel they have to take things into their own hands.

i never thought rude drivers can only be found in PH. so they are also present in your country. bad drivers, ha? even corrupt police officers are present there? i would also say that if the police or any other traffic enforcers could not do their job in the place, private citizens can do their part. but i do not agree with the pulling out of the drivers and slapping and robbing away things.

Traffic can be very dangerous if there is no order. I think that rules for the road are very important..they keep people safe. I hope it improves in your area. Be careful when you drive.

Authorities should do they job and implement road rules and regulations. If someone caught violating any rules, proper discipline must be given. Regarding officers hurting civilians, that's too bad, they are not doing their job but using their uniform in the wrong manner.

Hiya shibs, You have some things happen to you don´t you as well? Not surprising the way they drive there. Glad you and your Friend are well though and that your Knee recovers soon. All in all you will recover and we can only hope that things will get better on the Road for you all over there and here as well. You must have quite a sturdy Motorbike to take that lot what has happened to you. Is it that Bike the one in the Photo the one with your Cat sitting on top of it? Stay as safe and be as careful as you can shibs and recover soon.xxx
