I am from West Bengal ,India...and today at the evening 6:12 pm here we sense a moderate level of Vibration due to earth quake..and in news I found that it was around 6.8 in the Richter Scale...it's epicenter was on the Sikkim-Nepal border ....anyway there is no news of casualty yet and no news of destruction...only in some places there is some crack in the road....and in some places there is some problem with electricity supply and mobile service... But the main think is that..we are progressing in technology day by day...but still we don't have the power to forecast it before...what we can do is to teach people how to stay cautious but we don't know when it will happen and in that time what will be we doing... So don't you think our scientist should think about it?

Well you are a little closer to the center. I think it might be quite bad in some places. All we know about earthquakes are that they are bound to happen sometime, so we should know how to take precautions as much as possible. Perhaps it would be worse if we did know the timing because then people would panic!

Yes, I saw the news report on the TV about the earth quake in India and Nepal. It was quite strong and there were many casualities. It is really very pathetic. Yeah, it would be very good if these could be predicted and have warning in good time.
