I don't know what this phenomenon is but whenever I listen to the music that I grew up with, I feel like travelling back in time. Have you felt the same way too? What do you call that feeling?

I think what you are feeling might be "nostalgic" and yes I feel the same when I listen to some songs too. Especially the songs which were my ex boyfriend's favourite songs. Though I don't wanna remember him, he just pops in my head when I hear them songs.

When i hear one of the songs that i connect with someone or something i feel exactly the same way.The sound take me back in time and my memories-good or bad make me clear my mind.Sometimes it is really painful, but other times they take me back to the days when I was really happy

I have a collection of CDs of the oldies, orchestra music, jazz music, country music, country songs, and more. When I listen to them, all the memories of those periods come back in my mind, the places I was, the people I was with, the movies I have seen, and more. Oh, what an enchanting feeling !
