I must say, the In Death series by JD Robb (aka Nora Roberts) is one of my faves. I usually can't read more than 2 books from a series at a time (i'll read something diff. in between as a 'break'). But with this series I don't need "breaks" from the series. I love it! The series is written so well, and it has everything...suspense, thrills, humor, likable characters, etc! These stories have it all! The first books from the In Death series I read were actually later ones, but I decided quickly after reading them that I wanted to go to the beginning and read the entire series (I believe there are around 30 books so far in the series). I just completed the first book of the series, Naked in Death, it was great! Now I'm reading the second, Glory In Death! Loving it so far! Has anyone else read these books, or are you currently reading these books?

I love Nora Roberts but wasn't aware that she wrote under a different name. I will have to check them out. By series it doesn't sound like you mean the kind that have to be read in order. That its the titles that are a series, is that correct?

Yeah I don't think you really have to read them in order, but there will be some things mentioned in later books that did happen in earlier ones. But the books don't follow the same story line. It's about a detective, it's set in the 2050's I think. A lot of cool futuristic stuff that I wish we had! lol. But I do think reading the first one first would be good just so you an get to know a couple of the main, important characters.

I think that I will take a trip to the library with my daughter this week. Hopefully they have it on the shelf. I've been wanting to get over there with her to see about a series called "The Boxcar Children" I remember reading that so many times when I was about 7 or 8 years old.

Does your daughter like to read? I always buy my nieces books but I can never get them to read them a lot, it takes them a long time to finish a book. I never read a series called Boxcar Children when i was little. It doesn't sound familiar. I loved animals when I was a kid as much as I do now, so all the series I read had to do with animals lol. I was a fan of Heartland, Pony Pals, and there was another one...I can't remember...I think it had heart in the title...lol. There is also a really cute story I read called A Rats Tale, I think I still have it! lol. How old is your daughter?
