Since satan cannot destroy the Word of God, the BIBLE, he makes new ways to divert or modifies the doctrine. He perverted the Word of God, that's why there are lot of version in the English Bible today. I believed that Only King James Bible is the inspired word of God. Just try to look on the other version, it takes out the blood of Jesus Christ as the only thing that can washed our sins away. For without the shedding of blood there is no remission for sins. Some of the verse is not found there. Sometimes, if it is a verse 12, then there is no verse 13, it jumps to 14 because 13 contents the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross of Calvary. There are lot of perversions right now. Don't allow satan to deceived you, read your KJV BIBLE. For the TRUTH shall set you free. It's up to you to follow what I am saying but just try. Nothing will be lost if you will just try to read it. Probably you will say that you can't understand it because it uses old English, but ask God for Wisdom to help you understand. It needs Faith to believed that.

Wow amen! I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Savior when I was 14 years old. It is a joyous experience to be born again in the family of Christ. I saw a great in my life after I received Jesus Christ. For He said in the 2 Corinthtians 5:17, Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new.

I find that if I don't understand the verse but read it over to myself a few times I do understand it. I like the KJV version the best, any other version seems to lose a lot, and just isn't the same. The PLAIN-ness is just not the same. I like the KJV because thought it's written in old english it's the truest translation and it's true KJV form is actually in old Greek.

you are right! KJV is the best. The only inspired Bible and none else!

It was rather nice of you to share this with us. I was also told by a friend that the. Bible I had was the closest to the original version of the bible. I'm glad I had this bible version with me. Actually have a lot of version, but I gave my NIV away and mom is reading the other one

I take anything written in the bible with a grain of salt. Why? Because it has been re-written so many times and by who? MAN. It is subject to error and misconsption depending on who is doing the translating. The original bible was written so many years ago in oh, i can't remember. I'm thinking Latin or maybe Hebrew? I wish I were more knowledgable. I would love to read the original. King James is a far cry from the original. Anything translated in English is subject to scrutiny.

Oh geez, let me reword this. I would love to read the original if only I knew the language. Anything translated is dependent upon the translator. I did not mean to say that the King James version is a far cry from the original. The truth is, I don't know. Unless you have the ability and knowledge to read the original and compare then it would be hard to say for sure.

And how has it been proven? Not arguing at all but curious. I feel like I need to see the original, comprehend it and compare to actually KNOW this. You must understand that I am one that thinks even the original bible was written by man and it was. Not saying that God didn't have something to do with that but bottom line...it was written by man. Clearly, I am a skeptic but not a disbeliever entirely. I question all translations as well and because they are human translations...subject to error. There may be know errors at all in the translations but unless I could get my hands on the original bible ( and where is it exactly?) and learn the language and do the translation myself...well you see where this is going right? I would have to start at the original writing of which there is only one..right? They didn't have printers or typewriters or even lined paper and ballpoint pens when the bible was first written. And I would have to know the language and translate myself in order not to wonder if any errors occured in the translation.

The Bible that is available today has been proven to be more accurate than many other ancient writings. There are more manuscripts for the ancient Scriptures from less than 50 years from the time of the original writing than there are for Homer's writings as well as Shakespeare's writings. The Bible has not been re-written...it's been translated by scholars into different languages. I would dare say that you would find any errors concerning the teachings of the Scriptures.

I agree with you partly about the KJV because several of the newer versions were also transcribed using the original texts that the KJV was taken from. However, for sound doctrine, it is profitable to STUDY the Bible, not just read it. Take all the versions together and also study into the Greek and Hebrew original words for clarification from all of them. Then you will be able to rightly divide the Word of Truth.

Are you aware the the King James Version of the Bible that you have today is not the 1611 version? The current King James Version that is available has been translated and updated more than 40 times. The King James Version is a great translation of the Bible, no doubt. But to say that it is the ONLY reliable version is ridiculous. More versions of the Bible were translated from earlier manuscripts that were even more reliable. I would agree that there are some perverse translations out there as well, but don't be so naive to think that the KJV is the only one out there.

Greetings bessyjanmayi. The KJV is indeed a splendid translation and you are right there are many perversions out there. I found this to be the case for New Testament portion of the NIV. I think you are like me. You want to know exactly what God has said. What I have found helpful in this is Young's Literal Translation, and the works of Jay Greene or Green. Originally the Holy Bible was written in Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek. It would be great if all of us could be well versed in all three and have access to the oldest manuscripts. But the next best thing is to consider the works I have mentioned. For years I stupidly had my congregation on the NIV. When I realized my big mistake, I researched for a version as true as the KJV is, but removing archaic terms. I settled upon the New King James Version, checking New Testament passages with a composite Greek New Testament text.

I'm not a fans of King James Version as I've found it is very difficult to understand with allt he ancient English which I never taught was used. Regarding how Satans have make us divert the meaning of Bible, I have to disagree with you. Satans need the real meaning of Bible to deceive us a swell. remember the temptation of Christ? Satan use all the words written to trap Jesus. That is how Satan deceive us. He make us believe the Bible is a fiction and just a story. Satan didn't have any concern about if the Bible is real or not. Satan best tools is make us believe that the is no GOD and Satan of Heaven and Hell. Satan want us to belive human come from ape of mutation of single micro-organisme.

The Word of God is whatever understanding you reach while reading ANY 'holy book' (i.e. one that is 'holy' to SOMEBODY, probably not you). It's NOT written ANYWHERE. Oh, you can write that understanding somewhere; and that might be YOUR Word of God, but NOT ANYBODY ELSE'S.
