How many of us make it a point to pray everyday? No matter what your religious belief is, do you pray? How do you do it?
There can be many forms of prayer that suit a person. It can also vary from person to person. The form, the style can help but it is the personal connection and communion with the Lord Almighty that is important.
As a daily priority,I see to it that I say my prayer of thanksgiving every morning I wake to a new dawn and in the evening before I retire to sleep. It gives me hope and zest to life. It also reminds me of the abounding love of God that gives me life and inspiration to go on in spite of the many trials and difficulties. It helps me be attuned to what is asked of me for the day and makes me more reflective of the things I do. It makes me more conscious of how I do things and how do I speak to people under me.
Prayer also gives me strength. It illumines my clouded mind in my trying moments. Whenever I feel like giving up, I am inspired to continue no matter what the circumstances might be. I find solace and consolation and at times deconsolation too But before the end of the day, the God of life has inspired me.

Prayer is definitely a priority in Islam. It may not be well implemented in Christian dominated countries but in counties like Saudi Arabia, all establishments including banks, malls, and restaurants are closed during prayer times. In addition, public transportations have definite stop overs,so people can pray.

I noticed that too. Even in public places, if it the time for their 'salah' they just spread their praying mat, face to the direction of Meccah and pray. I admire them for that. I wonder if christians do the same. Maybe but not in public except on Sundays i guess.

I am not a religious person, and I am an atheist too, so prayer is not my priority. I would consider how to create a better future for myself is a priority. And also how to make my life better for tomorrow is a priority. I am tired of my living style right now, and I somehow despise myself keep on living like this. I should make a change, vow to make a change.

I respect your point of view kingparker. My heart goes out for you as you are in the verge burn out(?).
Its good that a better future is your priority in life. Working so hard to make it a reality can be tiresome. Perhaps you just need some break and see things in a new and wider perspective.:-)
Change is good. Plan how are you going to make it.

Since I don't have a regular schedule in anything, I normally pray throughout the day as things some up. I often pray before I get out of bed and once again before I sleep. I also pray when I am struck by the beauty I see while I'm driving or walking to thank God for all he has made. And we do thank good before each meal, since he has provided it.
During the day when I'm on the computer, I often get prayer requests by email or on Facebook, so I pray about them immediately so I won't forget. I often pray before I write an email or even a myLot post or Squidoo lens or Hub so that God will give me the right words that might be helpful to someone.
