Question of a Stay at Home Mom

Well, first of all, I am a nurse by profession and this question is somewhat related to my profession. QUESTION: Would you rather tend to other people's children just so you can have money to pay someone who tends to you child? To make the question clear, since I am a NICU nurse, I will be taking care of other people's children if I work overseas. But It also breaks my heart to know that if I do that I wouldn't be able to take care of my own children. My and my husband can live within our means right now, but who knows what may happen tomorrow, finding a job as a nurse is difficult in my country and going overseas is one of the easiest ways to earn decent money from my profession. Although as a stay at home, I've been educating myself so that I can make a living online, so that I wouldn't be forced to work abroad and leave my children behind.

This is the dilemma of many mothers on the same situation. With the proliferation of online jobs, i think it is just but right that you educate yourself in making online jobs. Only through this would you be able to take care of your children at home , while having your job. But if that is not possible, then have a talk with your husband if he likes you to go abroad , to secure everybody's future. If he permits and agrees to take care of the children , then why not. However, please be aware that most families with fathers or mothers working abroad have broken families.

That is a sad truth. Me and my husband have just been married for two years. and my child only one year old. I don't want my children to grow in a home without a mom. That's why I'm learning how to make money online. although I haven't really succeeded yet. but I'm open to learn. Going abroad is really my last resort. Although we do have plans of migrating as a family, I think that one is better than me, going overseas alone. Maybe if I earn a decent income online, I wouldn't really have to work overseas anymore. nothing compares than being together with your family.

Anyway, if both of you are working with just one child to feed, then i guess simplifying your needs would let you be able to save for your child's future at the same time providing for her. Being contented and happy can be achieved by simplifying our needs and wants.

you have a point there. Simplifying needs is what we do now. I guess any parent would want to be able to provide for their children.

So many moms have the same issue. I think it is good to try and be prepared. I am lucky to be able to stay home with my kids. I can't imagine paying someone else, I'd miss them too much.
