Title of discussion is very important in mylot?

I do find that the title is important as it will be the first thing that will catch the attention into opening the discussion and deciding if I will respond. So a good catchy title will at prompt the member to open it. Once they open the discussion they will begin to read the discussion. Depending on what is being discussed in the body of the discussion, is that the member will then respond to. At least for me this is how I base my intent to respond to discussions. There have been very catchy/good titles at times and once I read the full discussion, I then decide to respond if I can. I have found many times that the titles at times really have nothing to do with what is asked in the discussion, so it is very important to read it thoroughly. I have seen many responses at times relating only to the title and not what the discussion starter is asking in the full discussion.

I agree. Title is very important in order to have more answers. Whenever I have time to answer some questions here in myLot, the first thing I will do is read the titles. If it's interesting, then I will post an answer. If the title lacks a meaning, or doesn't have a direct question, then I will skip and find another question to answer. :)

i could also say that the title is important to catch the attention of more members. most of the time, i get to finish the original post that i have to make before deciding what the title should be. most of the time, i have the idea of what i will share and post but i still have no title for the topic. it even took me time to decide which interest category i will use to post it. the title remains blank, and decide with it after i have completely laid out my idea. there are even times i get to put an intriguing title to my discussion which could catch more attention. but all in all, i guess, the most important part of the discussion is the original post, the title is only secondary.

Yes, i agree. Title has to be eye catching to attract responders to the post. Our title is like a shop name. Once it catches attention, shoppers would be tempted and curious to come in to take a look. From there, we have to make sure our contents are equally good, so that they will stay around, leave some comments, before asking for our name cards in order to come back again when there are new arrivals.

to the title is important. great majority of people see them grab the title it attracts their attention and they respond to your discussion. So many people will respond to your discussion and that is a plus for you. fully set right. nice day!

Hi lovedude, For me, it depend where discussion came from: Mylot page or email (from friend in Mylot). If discussion came from email, I only see the content of discussion but if discussion came from Mylot page, tittle extremely important and must come from my interest.
