I can't say about India, but generally Alertpay is getting less and less popular. There are rumors that it may close. I had just 3 dollars in Alertpay for the last four years! Not being able to spend them, I just invested in a HYIP. Who cares if I lose them, they were worthless in Alertpay! Paypal has my account limited, so we are in the same boat. Have you noticed that the e-currency exchangers wont take paypal so often now? I think we both need to look elsewhere because I have no trust in Paypal or Alertpay.

I also use Liberty Reserve. That is very reliable but not everyone likes it. Once you make a payment - that's it, paid! No changing your mind, no claim backs. There are four or five others that I cannot say much about since I don't have practical experience of them.

I really shocked with your discussion. I am from india and having account in the paypal. i got the comments that paypal is the most reliable one than any other. I think alertpay will not offer any cheques to india otherwise it is good one to use. Anyway paypal having the safety online transaction than any other.

Yes.Paypal is becoming a hell to deal with.I would have left them had I known an alternative.I guess they seem to forget something called common sense.

I was also very angry with paypal's customer relationship department.my email which used for paypal was hacked and i was not able to access that email and hacker also changed info of my paypal.so i contacted paypal and told them whole story and they said you need to verify that you are real account holder.i provided all information which was correct.but they told i still have to do something else.i said i will send my proof to paypal.they rejected my proposal.they said i have to log in to my email account in order to retrieve my paypal account i told them how i can log in to email which is already hacked.i hanged up the call in frustration and annoyed with paypal.they don't give a am to customer who is not verified and who is correct one.and i also had alertpay account but they gave me back my account within 20 minutes of verification for this purpose, alertpay rocks and not paypal.

I use both of them a,and they are excellent site to work with. But where i live in Jamaica , it going to cost a lot to send a check to me using alert pay.you can even send your money from your alertpay account to your personal bank account ,but it take a while to process and cost a lot too. With paypal i can use it any where online as i please, but paypal does not send check international members. Over all i use them both, but i use paypal more.I don't know about the india user,am from the Caribbean.

Maybe you did something against their TOS so they blocked your account. Here in the Philippines paypal is the most used because you can link it with your atm unlike alertpay.
