Dreaming

Don't you ever wish you can continue dreaming, I always have these really good dreams but I tend to wake from them and can't get back to them. Once I had a dream I was with this girl I really like and we hugged and then I woke up. I wanted to see how that dream would have ended but never got back to it. I read on the internet and in a book once that you can NEVER have the same dream or continuing dreams. You can have similar dreams, like almost every dream I have is getting murdered by something at the end of it. Do you think it is weird that you can remember some dreams and others forget. A few years ago I had this weird dream that there were [at least] a thousand cats starring at me and at the end a tiger ate me. Anyways, any weird dreams you have? Some of which you want to continue?

There have been a few dreams that I've wanted to continue. As for never having the same dream again, reoccurring dreams do happen to some people, so I would check your sources. Personally I've never had one, but one of my best friends is very distraught over her boring and useless dream of being trapped in Wal-Mart with a bunch of crazy teenagers. There are some people who do have the exact same dream over and over again, with no scientific explanation as to why. As for continuing dreams, I can sort of do that. But I'd have to fall directly back to sleep after waking up. I've never had the same or a similar dream thread happen after a full day or even a full hour have passed.

The book I read that was really old so that's probably why. That dream of your friends' is really funny. :D

I'm sure there are some people who discredit the existence of reoccurring dreams, but I've read enough respectable books that do affirm their existence. We just don't know a whole lot about dreams, and most everything you've heard about dreams is really just theory. We don't know for sure what they mean (if they mean anything, which my personal stance is that they don't have symbolic, subconscious, or prophetic meaning), why they happen, and what their purpose is.

I don't wish to continue my dreams since I already do so. I had periods in my life I always dreamed the same. There are also periods in my life I continue the dream as soon as I fall a sleep. The fact most people can't remember their dreams doesn't mean they don't continue their dreams.

My cousin told me that once, she told me something, like "we have 15 dreams" or something I don't remember exactly... Then i wish i could remember my continuing dreams (if they do) a lot of my dreams end in me dying

Hi there miijojo 1994! There are times when I have that kind of dream but I still like it better when I wake up and I have the chance to make turn that dream into reality or even get closer to it, step-by-step. I also tried continuing my dream but somehow, nothing seems to work.
