Fart: human defensive weapon?

What can you say about fart as a defensive weapon? I mean when there are lots of people around for example you are on a long lines of people in a closed room then you can use that weapon of yours silently discharging your gas.
It's more on offensive weapon I think.

I don't know, some people would rather consider a fart as a terrorist attack than as a weapon. So they'd possibly react very angry :D
But if you can fart without making a sound and make everybody wonder who was responsible it could work.

Intentionally farting in front of people is very poor manners. I do not see how making an idiot of yourself can be seen as weapon; unless a weapon to others to view you as some uncivilized and poor mannered individual.

Some can be deadly! 
Oh my yes this has happened while in close quarters and sadly whomever does it silently stands there quiet and the rest of the people are gasping to get out. Dying to leave as soon as they can. I know I would be.
