battery drains out so fast in samsung galaxy pop

Smart phones in general will use more power due to some of the features that are used frequently. If you use wifi,or bluetooth they will quickly drain battery life. If you have 3G enabled full time it will also drain battery power faster. I suggest you turn off 3G when you are not using your phone to access internet...ie email, surfing web, as you don't need it for making calls. Also you can dim the brightness of your screen or set it to auto. Setting it to auto will detect ambient light levels and automatically adjust screen brightness. I hope this helps. How long can you use your battery?
If it takes only for hours then sure it is a manufacturers defect and you can ask for a replacement.
But if it takes 2 days before it is drained and being used normally...then,it's fine.
Usually, battery takes up to 4 days with normal use alone.
