Mumbai Indian to field 5 foreign players in the champions league.

hi friends.
mumbai indians is actually limping with injury with players like sachin,rohit,munaf and 5 other players being injured.
the problem is with these injuries only 14 players were left in the squad with half of them being foreign players.
so the committee for champion league decided that even if one more MI indian player was injured,the team wont be able to field 11 players as only 4 allowed.
so decided indians will field 5 foreign players as players who were bought only during the auctions and no one else can participate in the tournament.
probably bhajji could be the captain.
the foreign players being malinga,pollard,franklin,symonds,fernando,blizzard and jacobs.
you probably dont know half of the remaining 7 indian players.lol.
guess mumbai INDIANS might be left to face the other mighty sides just like our team to england.lol

Hi...
Lets get tired the rest Indian players so that we can lose the coming India-Australia series. Do you think that we should give the priority to Champions league than nation... where maximum Senior players are injured, then there are chances to get injured some junior players too, then who will play the coming series? just think.

relax.if all indian main and bench squad was injured we can send niranjan shah,srinivasan,srikanth and the other BCCi guys to play the game.
besides champions league winners get more money than if indian wins against australia.lol.
just be happy players like sachin,sehwag,gambhir,rohit,munaf,praveen,zaheer,nehra,ishant etc are not part of this league.

Hi star,
Nice to be with you after long time. It is a good decision by C.L. organizers to allow five overseas players as against 4 stipulated by rule considering that five of their front line players including the captain and the key player Sachin Tendulkar. If they had not allowed M.I.'s request, they would have been out of competition even before it is started. Addition of one more player will to some extent compensate the loss of Sachin for M.I..

welcome back.i missed you guys.its kinda maddening when i look at the leader board and see all the best in this category but hardly seeing any of them starting discussion or making comment.
as for the 5 international player thingy,well its kinda cat on the wall scenario.
all the missing players were injured during national duty.
if they say that I DONT CARE IF YOUR PLAYERS ARE INJURED OR NOT,I AM NOT GOING TO CHANGE THE RULE.IF THIS TOURNAMENT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU,KEEP YOUR PLAYERS FROM PLAYING CRICKET AND REST THEM FROM NATIONAL TOURS.
for all we know,indian players might skip tours leading to IPL or Champions league considering 100 % attendance for IPl but most of them are absent for west indies tour.
on the other hand,by granting MI 5 international players,other teams might be tempted to fake injuries to unknown indian players and say HEY WE GOT ONLY 15 PLAYERS AND EVEN IF ONE GOT INJURED WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PLAY THE TOURNAMENT SO GIVE US 5 PEOPLE.
we dont want that either.

I think if that is allowed then that is unfair. Whatever be the reasons, the rules of the tournament are the same for all the teams. So if the other IPL teams cannot field more than 4 overseas players, the same rule should apply to MI, injuries or otherwise. I think that is what will help give youngsters a chance on the big stage.

I didn't see this a very good thing if there no avial player for MI just kick off it from tournament why rule changing specific for them. If you wan cahnge rule time as per one's need then what the value of rule to apply of. Why create rule?
It all money that count so they allowed MI by breaking and changing rule for them.
There are many player injured form Mumbai and the no showed by and few more may joi it i belive they will allow 11 forign player to them soon

well i think it is was unfair for the other teams.. the rules are rules there should be no cpmpromise on the rules .. so thats why i thin k the governing board of IPL shouldnt let them allow to play 5 players in the ground .. if its the case now , i think that in the near future more teams will pretend that their player is unfit and let thier foreign players to play .. so rules should not be cahnged at any cost .. and another thing is that the BCCI seriously needs to consider their injury issue .. all the big talented players of indian cricket gets injured when the big tournament comes ,, so they should consider this factor
