Why do people like Shane Dawson?

I honestly hate his videos and yes I have wasted my time and seen at least 20 of them. I know it's few in comparison to all that he's made and I do admit I know little of him but his videos are simply boring. That's my opinion. I want to know why people like him? He's famous for a reason..I've heard it's because he's caring, hot, funny but I've also heard rumors that have stated the opposite. While there are claims of people that say Shane has helped them tremendously, and I respect that, I want to know how as I am curious. I do not hate Shane as a person, I don't even care about him, but I just find his videos boring to my tastes.

I like some of his videos and others I don't like so much. Most of them are pretty funny and I like seeing how he portrays different characters, it's pretty interesting. But I think the main reason I watch him is because he's got such a nice personality and he makes you feel happy lol

lol I do understand what you mean he IS funny at times but my sister is a mega Shane Dawson fan so it can get tiresome. With things like this we should be open minded because when there are lots of fans or any fans at all then there's a reason behind it no matter how much haters there are. I think Shane is one of those "Hate or love" thing.

Yes. And I also agree with the above poster. There's some people on YouTube who have so many views and they don't even deserve them while their's others who do amazing stuff and don't get any recognition for it :/

He is incredibly boring. i actually don't see why or how a lot of youtubers get so many views.

I don't get how Shane Dawson, he's not really interesting and I don't get how he's popular. I just don't watch him.

secret of his success, he aggressively added people as friends and spammed people to subscribe , before he used misleading thumbnail to gets views.(he already stopped it) he have posting alliance with other youtubers with more views. he collaborated with other youtubers. he is not funny but he is persistent on getting views. your youtube channel dont need to be awesome to be viral, its all about persistence
