What is Garden Designing?

Today I heard a term Garden Designing but I dont know anything about it. Could anyone who can tell me what is garden designing? ad how we can use it for home in best possible manner?

Garden designing would be where you arrange and or landscape your garden a specific whay where you would plant the varieties in such a way that they coordinate well together. In other words some might put the tall plants in the back and mediums in front with smaller down in the front row.
It is whichever way and or shape you envision the garden planting to look once all has grown.
There are those as I once did where in my garden I had bulbs for the spring, annuals and perennials for the summer through fall. So it is all in the arrangement.

I´m always trying to do some landscaping, but my wants and needs change every year. Now I´m on the veggie garden way and some of the flowers are going to have to be arranged between lettuce and beans

I find that veggie growing is also part of designing as some veggie plants need more room then other. Some grow longer and or or shorter so it is an art to put them in their separate areas also. Managing to put them all in such an arrangement is an art and one I know you will be doing great with.
