I like saving money and I want to give back to people. Now there is many banks that offer free checking accounts but are they really free? Most of them, a lot of them, you have to meet certain conditions like a min balance or pay bills online which can be done but do you want to keep that in the back of your mind? I don't so I did a lot of research on banks and checking accounts, this is what I found (I live in FL) there was two banks that really offered free checking accounts with an optional savings account. Bank of America- Yes, they truly offer free checking account just go to one near you and open a eBanking account with them. NOTE: you will need a laptop, desktop, or a smartphone to change your statements to PAPERLESS its free when you choose that option. Then no more worries that account has no hidden fees and you don't pay for maintenance fee either its a great way RBC Bank- They are completely free without doing anything like Bank of America and if your 55+ you can get senior checking which is a free checking account plus interest they pay you for keeping a min balance of a 1,000 dollars I hope I helped anyone just make sure before you open any account read the fine print because that's how they get to charge you and don't forget to ask any questions you have its their job to answer them.

Good advice. If you are in the US, in about a month, most banks will be discontinuing free checking accounts. Almost all checking accounts will have monthly fees.
