Hi friends, i am facing this Head ache from past 3 years or more. I am trying myself to reduce this head ache but i am not. Even i went to hospital and shown to several doctors but they told its normal and nothing to worry. But i don't think so because every time whenever i sit infront of PC or while reading Head Ache starts and it won't let me to do work. I have to sleep at least for 20 to 30 minutes so that Head Ache will reduce a bit. I don't know what to do, kindly help me on this by giving the suggestions or solutions.

hi there, i read in your discussion that you're drinking coffee. i think you need to stop it, caffeine is a stimulant, so if you'll continue drinking coffee, it will worsen your condition. seeking medical advices is the best thing that you can do.

Probably you need glasses specially designed for the computer. If you have astigmatism, a normal pair of glasses won´t work and you have to see an eye doctor and tell him exactly (measuring) the distantes from your eyes to the monitor and to the keyboard. If the computer is not in front of you, there´s also a problem of eye muscles that are elongated in in side. It happens often to people who work all day in such a way. I hope this helps.

Yes friend i do have glasses but do i need to tell how far or near i am sitting infront of the computer? I just told him that almost all the time i will be infront of the computer so he suggested me glasses which has a particular layer which can protect my eyes from the monitor display.

I had problems with my glasses and thought that the last optometrist had not done his work right. I went to the doctor and he measured one eye by one. I told him exactly what I did not see well and the distances and reflections. There was one kind of problem in one eye and another completly different in the other.

My mum suffers from a lot of headaches and they tend to be severe. My suggestion would be to keep trying seeking medical advice so as to find a suitable treatment such as effective pills. I would also suggest some natural remedies such as trying to avoid stress and worries, live as relaxed as possible, and try ingredients which can help. For example avoid coffee and caffeine. Drink some camomile and tea instead. Also you could use some drops of lavender oil to help reduce any congestion. You could apply these on the bottom of your pillow. Moreover you should make sure to check that you do not need spectacles. This could be a problem leading to headaches. Maybe you should visit an optician to make sure. Good luck

do you drink coffee? sometimes coffee triggers it. i have migraines and im addicted to caffeine if i don't drink coffee in the morning it gives me headache. drink plenty of water. and relax and wear and eye protection when using your pc. i dont know if you are familiar with white flower kinda thing but smelling that stuff kinda help because of the minty scent of it.

The headache is caused by the way you sit. I think it's your neck! So try out an other position for example standing straight up and the screen of your computer in front of your eyes. The best thing is to type blind (so no looking at the keyboard). You can also make circles with your head (left and right way around) to bend your neck in different positions. Pull up your shoulders etc. Try out what will work for you. I disagree with your doctor this is not normal. My advice is to do some kind of gymnastic or fysiotherapy for your neck, shoulders, upper body and arms and see if it gets better in time.

Even me too friend, i have not agreed what the doctor said. If it is normal then it could have solved easily but still i am getting the same pain means head ache then there should be something which may be severe for me in upcoming days. I don't know what is going to happen in the next minute.

Consulting a physician is the best solution I can give. If you have let several doctors checked on you, they should have also ordered tests. Have they prescribed any analgesics or pain relievers on you? And if you have really suffered non stop headache for several years already, maybe that would be a serious problem anymore. See your doctor lou_is.. He/She has the greater knowledge about your condition.

Yup Karstine29, i think better if i have to consult a physician rather than doctor because doctors are unable to analyze my problem. So i think only one option left for me. I will consult a physician who can probably solve this problem. Thank you very much Karstine29.

If you're having that headache for 3 years now, you should go see a doctor. What I can suggest you right now is to get some sleep and drink a lot of water. You might just be dehydrated or something. But I highly advise you to visit your doctor.

Did you try going to the eye doctor? You said you experience it when you read or sit in front of your computer so maybe you need glasses. :)
