Ranma 1/2 will be turned into a live-action drama!!!!!!!

I just read in a website that the anime Ranma 1/2 will get its live-action drama adaptation and it will star Aragaki Yui as Tendo Akane! 
I used to watch Ranma 1/2 regularly before but I was not able to finish it if it did really ended. 
I just got tired of Ranma and Akane's constant bickering and there were too many third parties showing up who were all hindrances to their love. .

Wow really?? I loved watching Ranma when I was a kid. Didn't really reach to the end but was quite interesting. I wonder how they are going to change the characters to animals LOL like Twilight maybe?? ANyway I will be watching it if it comes out. So cool!!!

WOW! This is great news! I wanna see how they will transform! LOL!!! This is just great! First, Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin is being turned into a live movie (2012 showing) and now, it's Ranma 1/2 :D I loved Ryoga and I've seen the OVA of it. This is just exciting :D
Kaku Kento... I think I've seen him in Gokusen Special and Asuko March but other than that, I don't know much about him :P

I wanna see a panda!!! A real panda!!!
Yeah, I've read the news, too. Somehow I'm dissatisfied with Takeru Satoh playing as Kenshin. Does Kenshin really have a small built like that? Anyway, I'll definitely be waiting for that movie, too. I love Kenshin after all.

Haha! I'm curious how will the female Ranma will be... I really can't see Kaku Kento as a female XD Maybe another actress will play as Ranma's female counterpart?
Well, based from the anime Kenshin do have a small built but it doesn't mean he's limpy looking. Lol! Takeru should work on getting more muscles :P

lol :D Ranma is one of my favourites when i was young because of the unisex character played in it.. haha :D Other than that, it has a nice storyline and most importantly, it was funny.. hehe I enjoyed watching the anime version of it, and i wonder how will the live-action drama be like? WIll it be as funny and full of expressions like the anime? haha

I agree, CT. I also like watching the live action versions of an anime or manga series. It's just interesting to see how it will turn out in the "real world".

Ha, really??? I wonder who will lead the main role of ranma! I checked the site about the live-action drama when I saw your discussion and hope it will turn to a great drama! I have seen some of her drama especially my boss my hero and Papa to Musume no Nanokakan! really love those series!!(^^)

Kaku Kento will play as Ranma. I don't really know him though. Never seen him in any drama. Or maybe I have seen him but just forgot about him. I think he's not popular. I wonder if Aragaki Yui will fit into the role! I mean, Akane knows some martial arts, right? And I've never seen Aragaki Yui in a role like that. But I loved her in her movie with Ikuta Toma, Hanamizuki.

Checked about kaku kento but get nothing~(^^)
I agree that there are doubts whether she can take the role of akane since most of her series she acted as a good girl except for papa to musume when she need to acted with somekind of 'father gestures'. I have never seen hanamizuki before.Is it a good movie after all?(^^)

Yeah, it's good. Hanamizuki is about childhood sweethearts Toma and Yui who got separated when Yui went to college in Tokyo. Toma was left in the province being a fisherman. They went on with their own lives for a while but in the end, I think they ended up still with each other.

I know what you mean about Dragonball. I didn't like the Hollywood adaptation, too.
