I love collecting different quotations. My favorites among them are the ones that contributed by Martin Luther, Confucius, the Bible and Aristotle. My favorite quotes and the ones that inspired me more than anything else: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act but a habit." "Take the first step in faith. You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step." "Be still and know that I am God." "Do not live long enough to be worthless." My personal favorite right now is, "If you go home with somebody and they don't have books, don't f**k them." - John Waters. Of course, "The sun will come out tomorrow / Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow / There'll be sun / Come what may" is always a great one, too. :]

that was interesting and a little funny. lol i also read this quote before, "yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. and today? today is a gift that's why we call it the present." Thought it relates. xD

I also use to collect quotes when I was in high school. I don't know where I pout my notebook though. It may be lost in our house or I may have left it in school which means I lost it forever. I use to really like the quote, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." A lot of people including me just complain and complain without doing anything or actually being a part of the problem. I just read the quote, " The key to happiness and having goals that are achievable." It is from a book from Nicholas Sparks.

I used to collect quotes too when I was in high school. I even included text messages and jokes to it. xD goals that are achievable.. I guess so.. there's no use dreaming about impossible things to happen, although people use to say nothing's impossible..

The gifts of quotes from our great thinkers have something to lend to all of us. I surround myself in quotes and apply so many of these quotes to my perspectives. In short, there are too many influential quotes to list singly. In my life, these great ideas have motivated me, enlightened me and lead me to build my own philisophical self. The quotes that inspire me don't always have a spiritual standpoint but have a practical influence nonetheless. Some quotes that move me are some much needed humour while other times, I need a spiritual quote to get me through. I have a large collection of quote books that I refer to often, even if I have memorized the quote. No matter where one draws their quotes from, there is inspiration to be had.

I also have a collection of quotes. I love tweeting a quote everyday. Here are some of my favorites When I hear somebody sigh, "Life is hard," I am always tempted to ask, "Compared to what?" I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. A lot of people are afraid to tell the truth, to say no. That's where toughness comes into play. Toughness is not being a bully. It's having backbone.

In the my country it is customary for teenage girl to gather different quotations in a notebook that they call "oracol". They write in each other's "oracol" and try to find the best things to put in their friends notebook. When it comes to favorites, I absolutely love this one : "By all evidence we are in the world to do nothing" - from Emil Cioran.
