Does anyone have a long time friend?

We do have so many friends all the time, in the schools, colleges and work, but do they last long, its a question. do you people have any long time good friends? and how long? I have a friend with 12 years of friendship, he is a long time friend of me.

Yes, I have friends that I've known since school days. We've been friends for 28 years now. We have always kept in touch although most of us are farther away in distance as we all live in other countries. We visit each other once awhile and maintain the interaction on Facebook.

If you think 12 years is long, I could definitely say that my friendship with someone is longer. I have a friend who has been with be ever since first grade, that's well over 24 years!
Sadly, something happened and I don't even know why or what happened, but we're no longer in a speaking term. Well, we didn't really fight, she just decided not to keep in touch anymore. I see her in Facebook, she does post and when I reply to her posts, she'd rather reply to those others who commented but not me.
I know I didn't do anything wrong, but I can't do anything if she feels that this friendship is no longer important.
I guess there are relationships, most especially in friendship which couldn't really last. I don't see it as a great loss though because it's different when you're older, there are different priorities and you don't really rely with your friend anymore. But I do wish the friendship could have lasted. Well, perhaps it's going to last but for now I'm in the sad situation right now.

Laydee, sorry you lost your friend, its really hurting if we happened to lose a long time friend, everything will be good, I am sure one day, you will have your friend back, since you havent done anything wrong, she will realize one day and come back to you :)

The longest friend I have is 34 years.
My old classmates and friends when we are 6 yrs old.
We have a group in facebook where we communicate with each other and plan for reunion and other activities.
It's good to have long friends who knows us.

Oh! 34 years, its longer and you are really lucky to have a friend that many years, and I believe childhood friends only will last longer..

Yes now friends are connecting via only facebook they are not interested to meet face to face but only cam to cam. I had one friend that lasting for 14years but we dont meet always but once in a month we share all feelings and rewind all our old memories.

that's another sad thing, happened for me too, will meet in Facebook, will chat and plan for reunion but over the course of time, it will be dropped for some reason...my personal opinion is if we have a friend for more than 10 years, it means we have a very strong understanding..
