Trying to watch the top 250 movies of IMDB list....

I've been working my way through the top 250 movie list for a few years, of course with it ever changing I've never completed it but as it stands I've watched and reviewed around 200 of the movies listed. In a way I can see your point about the visual quality of older movies being off putting as some of the really old ones are very low grade. But when it comes to them being boring well ironically I find some of the newer movies which appear on the list to be the boring ones. It's all down to taste as those older movies are there because they have good storylines rather than special effects and if you are only into movies which provide visual entertainment and not interesting storylines then watching the likes of "Citizen Kane", "Metropolis" and "It Happened One Night" is always going to be a challenging.

ahhah wo..thats a lot of movies.. but its possible to watch them all.. go ahead..enjoy.. im sure SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION is ranked no.1 in imdb rite?/

Certainly,I can watch older movies.A lot of them have much better acting in them,which in my opinion beats out blu-ray 10 to 1. My favorite movie is "Gone With The Wind" which was made in 1939,staring my all time favorite Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh,Leslie Howard,Olivia DeHavilland and Hattie McDaniel.The Civil war story was based on a book written by Pulitzer prize winner,Margaret Mitchell.She won the Pulitzer-prize for her writtings in 1936.The movie was followed with 10 Academy awards. There are alot of other quality films made before the year 2000,such as "The Passion of Christ","Jaws","Forest Gump" and many others. And some of these movies have come out on blu-ray recently too.Maybe you should watch them.

Wow.. good luck with that.. That is a really long long list.. I have only watched a few dozens of those from the 1990s to the present.. Maybe I'll try to watch the others to since they are in the top 250 movies of all time.
