What is the one thing you always wanted to pay cash for?

I remember those occasional tv ads where someone gets a new car in their driveway all tied up in a huge bow. I also remember times when money was scarce and you couldn't borrow money if life depended upon it. I always thought it would be the neatest thing to walk into an expensive auto company, in my kmart clothes and be able to write a check for the entire amount of a brand new car. The salesman would have pre-judeged me and I would have the satisfaction of surprising him with the money to buy the car outright. It has been the coolest fantasy for most of my life. Do you have one of those?

I would like to make like couple of hundreads of shekels and donate it to my friend bank account secretly. Then when she tell me all of her problem I would say "but you have enaugh money now to do whatever you want" so she will ask me "what are you talking about , I have only some ___" So I will surprise her with her new bank account balance. Wow she will probabely pass out. lol. Then she will like me so much and want to be my gf again :)

Yes, it would be great fun to be able to help someone close to us. I've always fantasized winning a lottery so I could help out both children and both siblings as well as myself. It would be great fun to do.

Oh, yes! Now that I realize that having credit is the worst thing that can happen to a person, I want to pay cash for everything. Of course, that is very difficult. But, the most important thing to pay cash for is a house. Don't have a mortgage hanging over your head for 30 years. If you own it outright, nobody can take it from you.

I always wanted to buy a laptop with cash but know that I can't afford it. I also wanted to buy an Ipod touch but it hard for me right now since I am going to school and I don't make too much yet. I would like to have both of them, haha.

I was imagining the car fantasy and I think it's really great! hehehee.. Hmmm... I'm thinking about paying for a new kitchen set, those types you see on Top Chef or cooking channels!? hehehehe... I'd like to have all those, and look as if I am cooking for a cooking show! hehehehe... Have a great MyLot experience ahead!!!!

I prefer to pay in cash for everything, because you know that there's no way that you're going to spend more money that you should if you know that the only amount that you have is the amount that you have in cash with you. I don't really pay with my card all that much, unless I'm paying for something which is very expensive. If this is the case, then I have to pay on card as a lot of places no longer accept cheques. I don't like carrying a large amount of cash with me at once so I will pay on my card in those circumstances.

I have always wanted to take a ton of cash into the bank and be able to pay off my house. You know the idea that I have won the lottery or some rich relative I did not know about leaves me the money.

Yep, I have one and that is to buy the world.... ;) Get in the elite tycoons group, shut anyone's face anytime anywhere. Own the world, that is my fantasy. It is indeed a matter of pride. But yep, fulfilling these kind of dreams require a lot of work. Hope some day you get your car in full at once ;)

I would love to have enough money right now to pay for a house and get out of my parents house and live with my boyfriend. If we had enough money to do this right now we would but i need him to get a job first, payoff one more car that we have and then we will puchase a hosue and of course make payments because we can afford to put all of our money into a house LOL. I also would like no car payments ever and right now i dont have a car payment but paying on a car to get work done to it and we arent to much longer on getting it back but hopefully it will be soon.

the first thing that came to my mind when i read your article was a car. it is something that requires a fairly big amount of cash and not everyone can afford outright. cash though are not easy to come by, so it will probably remain just a dream.
