College activities

So my school just held a Gamerwars event it was pretty fun, I made some new friends. They held other events like club rush and has other schools like universities come to our school and etc etc. So I'm just wondering if anyone could create these events like a normal person and what kind events are being at you school?

I love my university, because anyone is allowed to make societies and clubs which means that there are things for everybody to be interested in. There are games clubs, sports clubs, computer clubs and literally everything that anyone could imagine. I started getting into keeping fit in my first year because I joined a club with a few of my friends, however we have now moved off campus so it isn't as easy for us to go anymore but we do try to get there on the odd occasion if we feel as though we can manage it.
