How to select the correct template?

Im planning on making a site. I have designed the site logo and other images and graphics. I have an idea about my navigation bar and about where and how to place the links. But im confused about choosing the right template for my website?
Please suggest me how to choose a template for my website? About how to choose the right matching colors in the templace according to my site logo. Also if its possible to create a header image of my own like and convert it to a template?

I'm not really experienced person on this, but I already builded my own website last year. It was a gaming site and to find a good template, I searched for specific sites that offered gambling templates. It was very good because I had tons of good options.
Look for sites that offer templates for the subject of your site.

You mean to select templates from web hosting sites that offer templates which match my website's content/subject?
