Big clubs of Europe Real Madrid, Napoli, Bayern and Inter win, while Man Utd escaped with a 3-3 draw against Basel. Real Madrid easily beat Ajax 3-0 at home, while Napoli beat Villareal 2-0 at home. Bayern beat Man City 2-0 at the Allianz arena and finally Inter managed to win 3-2 away at CSKA Moscow. What are your views of the day's matches? Cheers! Ram

I have won around 25 dollars yesterday, because I have bet that in the game Real-Ajax there will be at least 3 goals and in the game Manchester-Basel at least four. I have put another ticket which involved Bayern to win at least with two goals difference, the same with Real, Lyon to win, Benfica to win and Manchester to win to at least three goals. Unfortunately, Manchester spoiled my plans. In other order, I guess yesterday there was only one surprise, and that was a huge one, although it can happen.

I have put money on Bayern being finalists this year solely because i think they are stronger than Manchester United this season and i think they might edge Madrid and also because the final is at the allianz arena which gives Bayern even more reason to reach the final.

Congrats rappeter, so you seem to be cashing in on the favorites. Bryanx I think you are taking a big gamble with Bayern. I think they will make it to the knock out stage, but definitely not all the way to the finals. Cheers! Ram

its £5 so it isn't that much of a gamble and still its a risk worth taking knowing i could possibly make 30-40 odd on one bet.

Napoli seems to have started very well this season. Both in the Serie A as well as in the Champions League. It would be interesting to see how they progress for the rest of the season. Cheers! Ram

i think ranieri once again show he is the right man for his team....like i said, i believe he is more experienced than gasperrini, even many media always say he is specialized for number two... he has done for his team in moscow... i think ajax is weaker than several years ago..the policy for selling their best player make them is always difficult back like era Cruyff..

There is no doubt that Ranieri is a very experienced coach. He has also tasted a lot of success. The only question mark is whether he can handle one of the big clubs and currently Inter is one of the bigger clubs. So that is the million dollar question. Cheers! Ram

Basel nearly pull off an upset result but it a 3-3 draw against Man Utd at Old Trafford sure is a good result. As for Inter Milan, they seem to have turn their results around after the appointment of Ranieri.

I would have loved to see Basel win. Actually Welbeck had a late late chance in the injury time to win it for Man U. That would have been travesty of justice given the run of the play. Cheers! Ram

Yeah, they are all okay except Manchester United.. The Red devils was really fortunate not to loose this time around..Eventhough they lead 2-0 at first half but Basel played strongly to reverse to 2-3..It's really exciting season and perhaps there will be more surprised coming up in the next matches..However season just started and strong club in beginning sometimes not guarantee they will also can grab the title... have a nice mylotting day..

I agree that Man U were really lucky not to lose the match. Basel should have won the match but for the late goal from Ashley Young really salvaged a point for the red devils. Cheers! Ram
