I want to talk about rap music. he he he . I do like some rap songs and I actually have a few songs that are some of my favorite. I am just not a huge fan of rap but like I said I do have a few favorites. I want to say that rap is not what it used to be. The thing I want to know aboUt rap songs is why in every song they always sing or mention something like this " Hey Shorty" Or always has the word shorty in the song can anyone answer that? L.O.L. L.M.A.O.!!

For me, rappers who always say the words "shorty" are just rapper-wannabe. I never like rap songs before. I thought rap songs are very loud and noisy. But that changed when I heard eminem sang live in 2011 Grammy Awards Night. It was the best. You should watch it in youtube. He sang I need a doctor. Since then, I started to like his songs. I still don't like rap songs, but if it's Eminem who is rapping, then it's okay. I tried to read all his lyrics, and I found out that he is really different than the other rappers. His topics are about his life, his daughters, his family, politics, and other matured stuff. Unlike other rappers that only raps about bars, getting laid and girls. He became matured since his comeback and his lyrics are also matured. :)

Talking smack is all Rap songs are about. So to me shorty is used in a negative manner. But I could be wrong. I don't listen to a whole lot of rap myself. I really like to understand what the singer is saying. Half the time you can't even understand the words. Best Wishes!

I outright dislike rap music it is not what it use to be. My understanding of shorty is intended as a slang for kids. Like how many shorties you have. Or girl why you worried about your shorties for, they are grown. Unless I have lost or been out of sync with rap and or slang that is what I have always known it to be.

The so-called rappers today got nothing on masters of the genre, like The Sugarhill Gang or Grandmaster Flash. Hell, even the mainstream hip-hop from the 90s was a hell of a lot better. The thing is, nowadays you have to search deep into the underground scene to find good rap music. Look up Jedi Mind Tricks or Soul Position. Oh, and I honestly don't what's up with yelling Hey Shorty in songs..I guess it's just the thing now.

I've never been a fan of rap but maybe once in an odd while there might be one with unique things in it that catch my fancy. Rare though.
