I am currently looking at my seventh spinal surgery. I have had six others and some of them have been easy to get through while some of the other where not quite so easy on me. My first back operation was back in 1998 and sense then I have been with the same doctor for the last thirteen years. This doctor does not like to operate unless he absalutely has to. I trust this doctor who has saved my legs and me from being in a wheelchair before my time. I do not like the fact that I have to use a walker to help me get around. The only reason I am using a walker to get around is my legs are weak and do not hold me up very well. I will say this if you can not trust your surgeon to do what is best for you then find one who will do what is best for you.

Gd that you hv a doc that you cld trust.:) Just wondering if it's necessary to go for another surgery? Your doc advised you to? Personally, I don't like surgeries and so I wld rather look for alternatives. Previously, I had no faith in Chinese medicine. Now, after having gone to see a Chinese physician a few mths ago, my view has changed. My friend recently told me abt acupuncture and how 2 of her friends who had stroke had benefited from acupuncture treatment.

I had slipped disc previously. Wondering if you hv the same problem? The Chinese physician whom I saw told me that he cld help people with slipped disc problem. However, as it wld take abt 10 sessions or more to hv my slipped disc fixed, I didn't continue. But I'm not experiencing any pain now. Previously, however, the pain cld be quite bad, esp whenever I tried getting up from a seating position.
