Getting started

Just arrived from my trip and I'm really tired but before hitting the sack, I just had to sign up to this network. And to be quite honest, I'm having a difficulty here. This needs some serious brain-work and right now, I just can't seem to get the hang of this even with the detailed instructions provided. But a little enlightenment from those who have mastered this site would be really appreciated. :)

Thanks for the responding and the link, too! I can't seem to figure out how to post an avatar/profile picture on my profile. How do I do it? I don't like seeing that random picture. I'm still exploring as we speak.
