Cinderella in a way.

Early this morning, I went aboard the GP ferry and found that the spot where my cot was located is very hot. There was no air coming in in that area so I asked the crew if I can stay near the railings. You know the part of Titanic where Jack and Rose stood together hugging and spreading their arms intertwined with each other? Yes, there. I stood there for awhile then turned my back to lean on the railings and before I knew it, I watched my left pair took a plunge into the deep blue sea! Gosh! I couldn't believe how things turned out for my pair of slippers. I feel my heart broke in two and the half of it felt like it went down with my slippers. I may sound like I'm overreacting over something I can easily buy a replacement but the thing is, it was my boyfriend's birthday gift to me four months ago. And I'm scared of what this could mean to our relationship. Is it a premonition? Does this mean, sooner or later, my boyfriend and I will break up? Gosh, I hope not!

I think its niether a premonition nor any other bad luck thing. Well its just some ordinary incident. Dont just give your rationale over a thing when you arent really sure thats its really the cause. If you give bad meaning to something, tendencies are you would keep believing that its the real reason and your life may become affected because of your paranoia. Just let the thing pass and youll see days would come smoothly, the success of your relationship depends on both parties so it never relies on such incidents.

Hello! Thank you for your thoughts. Now that I am better rested, I feel stupid for the way I was over thinking the whole thing earlier. And you are right about saying that success of every relationship depends on two people trying to work things out together. I do believe in the relationship I have with my boyfriend so I really shouldn't worry about this at all. :)

Trying to attach meanings to situations that have no base is not the right approach to life. If you analyse that episode all what happened was you missed your balance perhaps and the slipper fell off. What's that go to do with the love that your boy friend has for you. Sounds odd and funny does it not?

Now that I really think about it, it does sound funny and silly and really overacting of me to think that way. I know I should know better than that. But it was really sad losing that pair though. Oh well, I should just go and get myself a new one. My boyfriend laughed at me for being so melodramatic about it and he told me not to make it a big deal because it's really not. Thanks for your input :)

I know! My initial reaction was really stupid. My friends earlier just kept on making fun of me that I was already having those crazy thoughts. I don't have the heart to throw the other pair though. I'm planning to put it up on my wall and then pin a picture of me and my boyfriend on the soles. Not a bad idea, right? Anyway, thanks for the positive response. Deeply appreciated :)
