My sister is 3 yrs. older then I and she thinks she can still tell me what to do, even though I am 42 and she is 45. I moved in next door to her because she missed the early years of my children growing-up. Now, that I am divorced and the kids are older I thought she would spend time with us. But, it has come to the point that she is always telling me what to do and how to do it. I now remember what it was like when we where teens together. What would you do with a controlling sister? Yes, I have told her many times to stop. It does not help! So, please any advice anyone! What would you do? Thank You! *Live your dreams*

Hi Carpathian, Probably the best way to handle this is to ignore her as much as possible. Just continue to do your own thing and refuse to get angry, she will eventually get the point. Remember that no one can hurt us without our permission. Be strong. Blessings.

I have the same problem too but the thing is she is a year younger than me. Although I am older I do think that she is more the responsible one and the one that act like an adult. What I hate is when she makes it seem like she is perfect and does not make any mistakes. I think all you have to do is keep on telling her. She will eventually realize it or at least I hope.

I know how you feel she was a straight "A" honor roll, head of the class, cheerleader. While, I was a struggling "C" average with no skills in sports and accident prone. So, you are not alone on that one. lol Thanks for you comment I feel tons better that I am not alone. **Peace and Love get's you through everything in Life**

I don't guess there is any changing her. People don't change the way they have been all their lives. She probably means well but that would drive me nuts, lol.Have u considered moving? Maybe if u just set her down & had a good heart to heart talk w.her it would help. GOOD LUCK!
