What does mylot mean !?

I am curious what does the site name mean ! I am new in this friendly community and I would like to know the history of the site.
I first logged in 1 week ago and from then I sign in everyday and read comments and post discussions. Ever since I made my account I liked the site ! Really well mannered people write here and you can learn a lot from each other !

hmmm....if i'm not mistaken (and i stand corrected if i'm wrong), this was explained somewhere in another discussion.
a long time ago, in a land far, far away....a group of people got together and wanted to create a rewarding social site where we can do exactly what we are doing now. in coming up with he name, they wanted to call it 'the Lot', as in a place where people can hang around, discuss and share, do activities and generally have a good time. but when it came around to registering that name, they found that it was already taken up. so they settled on myLot, as in My (mine), and Lot (in reference to their earlier suggestion of 'the Lot'). so they have created a place where we can all get together and have rewarding and lively discussions, learn of each other and generally have fun! 
well, that's how i understand it...and if i'm wrong, i hope one of the other senior users can come in here and correct me
