I started a new hobby of oil painting and i just painted my first art today. Now my problem is how to clean the brushes. I washed it with heavy detergent with water but the paint wont go away. I also have tried the acetone because that's what I have on hand but it only helped a bit. Can anyone help me? I don't want to throw my brushes.

You can always use the kerosene to clean the brushes . It removes the paints in the brushes with no paint remaining. After cleaning the brushes you have to wash your hands with buttermilk or curd. Then only you can not smell the kerosene smell in your hands

That was also my problem when I had a painting as my project at school. But my father, who is a painter told me that the paint can be removed by using thinnerIt was really effective. But if you don't have a thinner, you can use kerosene as an alternative.I hope it helps.
