in any channel that we put out television dials to, we can usually find talent searches. i love to watch the talents of our fellow Filipinos but then it seems that most of the programs are now searches for talents. we Filipinos are very talented, and so the contestants keep on coming. this is also because of the very high prize that they offer. what do you feel about this mylotters?

Yes, i am sick of seeing those talent searches, specially just as when it is audition time. I hate seeing some contestants who don't have the "star" quality at all yet they are there. I only like to watch it when it's the finals already.

i like what you do simplyd! watching the shows in the finals make it more exciting and we can see that they will be trying hard and showing quality talents as well

I think talent searches are just fine, at least it exemplifies Filipino talent and gives them a chance to make big money and have a career. I'm not really a fan of talent searches although I would watch from time to time if that is what my wife and mom are watching. What i do not like are all the talk shows about stars and their lives, all the gossip, I already have an over dose. I prefer watching CNN,BBC,aljazeera,Nat geo,Discovery, CI etc...

that is the reason why i am almost tired of those talent searches. i am still quite ambivalent about it.i hate it because most of the channels have it but i also kind a like it because we can see talents of other people and we are made prouder to be talented Filipinos.

Talent searches on TV is not my cup of tea. But my wife loves watching them so I have no choice but to watch as well. One group caught my attention in Pilipinas got Talent as it was the first time I ever saw such act in television. It's the gamma el penumbra group and I'm not sure if I spelled the name correctly. I hope they win because I think they are really good.

yes, our family members most of the time watch it and so we tend to watch it too. i just watch those shows when there is nothing to do and no shows are left to watch.

Almost? Just almost? Me? I'm fed up. I don't even watch American Idol. And all those reality shows, I'm tired of them as well. There would always be contestants to these kinds of shows. That is because it is a chance to have their dreams realized. And a chance to get rich as well. These shows wouldn't stop sprouting as long as there is still an audience. Why would there still be an audience? I don't know, maybe the families and neighbors of the participants just want to see them on tv.

Nothing more than just mere Network Competition and exploitation of people's talents, another thing is that we are obviously talented people, but it seems a lot are trying their luck in terms of getting popular and getting a job through celebrity position. even with youtube, there's a lot of people who wanted to be popular there. or what we call youtube celebrity mania's. i don't watch them but my mom watches talentadong pinoy

i think yu do have a point letran! this is network competition and aside from exploiting talents, they also have a sure shot of having a big audience because the family of those contestants will surely watch. i just watch those shows when i am bored and i am not kind of fond of it too.

I agree that this are the new breed of telenovelas. Everything will look promising when it was first made but will eventually suck once copycats have risen. When these talent searches was first introduce, it was very entertaining but now it is already getting into my nerves. Hopefully, they'll come up with something new!

Oh, as long as the rating is high, we can see a lot of this kind of shows in televisions. But once the rating goes down, the end of this talent show is sure to come. TV netwroks are so gullible and they race on the top of the rating. But they only give what we ask for and perhaps deserve?

Talent searches are becoming more staple in our local networks.I could hazard a few guesses on why there are so many - they are easy to import and copy, the teleseryes are becoming stale (because they are running out of good stories) and the public always wants a new and familiar face. I remember a time when TV was oversaturated with drama series after one another.I often wonder is there will be some tears from my titas and cousins after each trying episode. This what happens in talents searches.Yes, we amy discover something new and novelty but usually those who win these talent searches have a short showbiz life span that we can forget them after half a year. Of course, some would see these programmes as a stepping stone for recognition and perhaps fame. But eventually, things will fall back into the same order and we will watching the same thing over and over again. Somehow,it will be a form of imitation after another imitation - of talent, that is.
