Always think positive. For example, you have seen your parents killed by the psycho killer. Do you still stay calm and think positive even if you have seen it with you own eyes that your parents killed by the psycho killer? Do we have to think positive all the time even if we are in danger? What are you going to do if you are in that situation?

Hi IntrovertShy, If I were in this this situation, I can't really imagine how would I react in this matter because I wouldn't know if I can take it in my own eyes, seeing them killed by a psycho killer... Thinking Positive? In what way? you mean, like I'll just think that its their time to die and just forgive the killer? Well, If that's really what you meant, No, I can't think positive and forgive the killer.. why should I?? It's hard to accept something like this... its easy to say that we have to think positive but believe me, It's all other way around. . .

Thank you. ordinarygirl88 is right. It's easy to say it, but wait until you are in that situation.

You shouldn't always be thinking positive. What if you're going to have an HIV test? Surely nobody in their right mind would think "positive" on an HIV test.

Easier said than done. Unless you have been in this situation, you really can't say that you will be positive or think positively if your parents were killed by someone who was out of their mind. The first thing you would think is, "Why didn't the man or woman who did this get help for their problem?", second, you would think, "Why didn't my parents carry a weapon with them if they knew that they were going to be in a place that wasn't safe?" third, you would think, "I hope that they bring this man to justice", and then finally, you would think, "If I ever saw this man would I want to kill that person, would I call the police, or would I take them down without killing them?" Then again, you never know how you would really react if something like this happened. You don't know until it happens to you, and I bet you are wondering, "How does she know this?" Well, my father and brother were not killed by a psychotic murderer, but they did die of disease. I cannot kill a disease, sadly, but I can raise awareness and do what I can to make sure that others do not go through what I went through. Most of the people that I have lost in my life, I have lost to disease. There has only been one person that I lost to a crazed murderer, and I swore that if I ever saw him, I might take him down myself because I don't want him to kill me. If he strikes at me, then I have to strike back. I probably wouldn't have time to call the police, and by the time I did, he may have killed me already. Again, you never know how you would react.

Yes i think we have to really think positive when confronting such situation. Being positive for me would mean defending yourself and protecting your loved ones. Shout for help at the top of your lungs. Move your eyes around and look for something which can be used as a weapon so you can fight them and save yourself as well as your parents from being killed. Being able to overcome fear immediately is a form of positivity.

it is easy to say "Think Positive" for the scenario that did not happen yet.... but if a person suffers that kind of scenario, he will truly deny what his motto before "Think Positive" here is another example: if you got a gold medal in fire fighting situation... it is only a simulation.... but when the actual twin tower happen, a panic man can run faster than a rat and his gold medals in fire fighting simulations as all totally forgotten (and can't even remember his name and family name) hahahaa but its true....

I think so. When you are in danger.. thinking optimistically would ease the fear that we will have. It could make us calm and feel better. However, you must also keep in mind that you need to expect the unexpected and everything is possible.
